*quickly YEETS certain holiday Sphinxes of hers through the portal before running out to run an errand before it gets dark*

The elves and cute goblins stopped when they saw the Yule Princess come through the portal with SO MANY festive sphinxes willing to help. A few who were still running in the streets noticed the reinforcements and took a collective sigh of relief. Even the fatalistic elf who was tossing gasoline on one of the buildings stopped (thank goodness he wouldn't need the insurance money any longer).

There was a cheer, maybe Yule would be saved!

Mayolin: I'll try to re-open the portal that the Fake Santa went through, this will take awhile, maybe a few hours. I'll let you know when I'm done. *she sat upon her staff and flew on it like a broom. Those watching could see where she stopped in the far distance near the sleigh ramp*

Peppermint: While Mayolin is doing her rituals to re-open the portal we can figure out how to keep the festive spirit around here. It's dropped so badly that with the magical Regalia missing we need to raise it back up again or the North Pole's power will fade.
*she points to a large meter in the town square that seemed to rate Yuletide spirit, and it was dropping*
There were supposed to be reindeer games, maybe you could make sure that they go off without a hitch while I troubleshoot the chaos in the village?

"We can help with the reindeer games, of course!" Cupid smiles brightly while Bjarki stands shyly off to the side.

Donner perked right up, “At your services!” he exclaimed.

Kielana sulked when the words 'reindeer games' hit her ears. "no...nonono...please dont make me try to sleigh race again."

Her hears were back and drooping, terrified.

In the distance flying reindeer could be seen approaching the group. At least they seemed like reindeer until they were closer and their human half could be made out.






One separated from the others and spoke privately with Peppermint before flying over to address the group.


Bauble: I've been told that the reindeer games were still going to be happening. This is great news! Look at how happy the village is becoming already, and we can't let Yuletide spirit drop too much. So if you want to take part or even just cheer the reindeer on, please follow us.

The Reindeer taurs fly slowly ahead of you to lead you to what looks like race tracks and obstacle courses of varying types and some sort of outdoor gym. Reindeer of animal, sphinxes and taur types were doing stretches in preparation.

Bauble: The races and pulls should be set up soon. We'll be seeing who is the fastest, and who can pull the heaviest loads.

She ran off to go try to find and then rope her big brother into it. She could just watch on the sidelines, right?

I came up with the idea for a flying reindeer taur OC a month and a half ago and drew up Bauble. Then I went 'hmmm, I wonder if I can pull that off with the centaur and reindeer templates for sphinxes?" and it works! lol
So, flying reindeer taurs in the north pole.

I just slapped a cert onto my drawing of the character. lol
