Once we explained the situation to the Tracker over the fire he simply nodded. "I see, that does sound like it's worth getting involved. I figured he was trouble but I didn't realize just how much of a problem he may be causing my cousins! Let me grab my things and I'll show you the way."
Before the tracker could pull up the first tent peg there was a raucous noise that came from the treetops! The fake Santa blew past the group and the sleigh knocked down prodigious amounts of snow on the party which would have been bad enough, but something about the anarchistic use of Santa Magic made the falling snow even more comical such as making some of the party look like snowmen or causing them to slip and fall showing only their four legs standing strait out of the snow! As the group shook off the snow a group of Bear Tribe Sphinxes burst through the trees, some tangled in tinsel or covered in sticky desserts, and crashed into the already comical scene.  The level headed Spring Creek took in the whole of the situation with his natural patience and good humor. He listened to Peppermint and the group explain that they were chasing the Goblin to stop his menace and that he was most definitely part of their party.
Spring Creek: I'm sure we can help you track down this goblin. We do also have our own Solstice preparations to prepare for though it seems quite a bit different then your Yule... though perhaps you'll need to visit again for a good potlatch, especially the yearly one thrown by the People of Raven, and there I believe you will find some closer similarities to your festival of welcoming and gift giving! Now we do have to stop this rogue goblin! Never Listens: ...and restore the good name of Raccoons!
It seemed like most offers of help were unneeded as the Fake Santa flew back over the group with a... "Nyah ha ho ho!"and rained down an assortment of festive treats. While the party dodged pies, cakes, cookies and a roast goose another portal opened and Fake Santa was gone!

Garland scooped up an extra piece of fruitcake from a pine tree and with a little taste thought that perhaps the flavour was even improved a bit! Fresh!
