Crocodilopolis was a Real Place, Really! Look it up if you Don't Believe me. End Title.
Sesh was enjoying his holiday vacation in Crocodilopolis. Unlike the bustling and massive Ahket this place felt more laid back. He had dined well and taken in the local culture which was heavily influenced by Sobek who's worshipers balanced a curious portfolio of influence. From military might, pharaonic empowerments, fertility, the dangers of the great river as well as the oddly curious flashy form of magic the Crocodilian God encompassed a great diversity of worshipers. On this particular day Sesh was sanding near the cities water steps leading into the river strait from the main Temple of Sobek as he waited for what was surely to be both a blessing and an adorable scene. Inside the Temple's grand pool a great crocodile, blessed by Sobek, had hatched scores of babies. This was always taken as a positive sign and was reason to celebrate! Of particular note was the releasing of the mother accompanied by a parade of tiny baby crocodiles as they marched the short walkway to the River where they would be twice blessed and swim off to new lives, spreading Sobek's reach and bestowing fertility anywhere they swam.
Finally the time was here Sesh gathered as he heard the cheering farther up the way. Looking down the walkway he could see a wondrously dressed priest carefully leading the massive Crocodile to the river. Upon her back and scurrying around her feet were precious little baby crocodiles!
Sesh knew better but a voice in his head was desperately trying to convince himself to take one home. His new palace had some lovely pools and a blessed crocodile of Sobek would be a prestigious treat he could care for and show his guests!
The calm of the place was cut short in a flurry of baubles and flashing lights. A sleigh pulled by... Sesh wanted to say rodents... striped and horned creatures flew forth from a portal and small bearded green male laughed out...
"Nyah ha ho ho!"
The sudden show of festive anarchy startled the great crocodile who roared and flailed easily knocking down dozen's of Sphinxes with her mighty tail! Baby Crocodiles began running everywhere and the crowd was panicking!
