I'd love to see any pics MA, (-8 I feel for anyone in our neck of the eclipse... it was cloudy the whole time, but, now just after, it's magically all clear blue skies!

My original plan was to go out to the back parking area behind the apartment and just watch the eclipse from there. Then this morning I get a text from my Dad asking 'where are you going to watch from?' and I said 'uuuuhhhh...outside?'. After a few minutes he asked 'want to come up here and watch it?'. Okay sure. So Dad picked me up at 2 and took me up to his friend's place where he's staying. We get there, were inside for a bit and then Dad worked on fitting one of the lenses over the camera of his phone and Cheryleen's. I grabbed two pair of the glasses from the pack he had given me. We went out side, got the folding chairs and set out on the lawn. It was neat to see. The lenses over the cameras worked...at least for them. I did the same thing with mine, my pictures were crap, so I deleted them. We were sitting out there til around 4:45, then packed up and went back inside. Cheryleen and I watched the 5pm news, Dad took a nap, then once he woke up, he ordered pizza. Yum. Dad and I went and picked it up and it was good. He ordered the MeatZZa variety and the pepperoni cheesy bread. Two slices of the pizza and the cheesy bread and I'm good. 7:30 Dad and I made our way back to the apartment. It was nice. Before Dad picked me up I made...a few ponies for the eclipse >.> Said I was only going to make one and I wound up making 4 >.>  Kaen sneaks up on his sister and pounces Homura. "Gotcha!!" Homura squeals and flattens. "Arg!! Get off my you big lumax!! Help!! Damsel in dsitress!! Someone call IX-I-I!!!"Kaen laughs and remains seated on his sister. "Damsel my furry tail. If you're a damsel, then I'm a bunny!"Homura snorts and rolls her eyes. "A big fricking bunny. Just because you evolved before me, but I'm still older than you."Kaen playfully pulls one of her ears. "By an hour. You're older than me by one hour.".....can't you two just play nice? |

Ok, these pictures are from hubby, my brother, my sil and a friend in a city that was 'just' in the totality zone about 40 minutes away. Other then the friend, we are all in the same city but different parts of the city. I also have a short video clip I really wanted to show of totality here (it looked soo awesome! It was like dusk, we even had orange on the horizon) but I cant get imgur to accept the video. Ill post with it if I can get it to work. these are from hubby. First and last picture taken with the glasses ontop of the camera lens.    My brother got a really neat shot of the partial with the clouds. Im glad his phones ok though, you arent supposed to take pictures without protection 0.0  from SIL. She had trees in the way but it was still a neat picture  And the one friend--  These some red around the moon. I really hope I can get that video to work o.@ ETA: Captured a frame from the video--  This was at 3:18pm, for reference |

Oh wow MA!! Those pictures are awesome!! I tried getting some pictures, but they were...ech. Dad and his friend got some that were pretty good. Thankfully we all protected our phone cameras. We took the protective lenses and put them over the phone cameras. Dad had gotten a pack of ten on the glasses, so I have four, they had some, a couple got sacrificed to protect the phone cameras XD

I should have some eclipse photos to share sometime soon! I need to edit them, hopefully I have time to upload and fiddle with them tonight. c: And thank you so so much for my pick-ups!  <3 I was up 26 hours yesterday so I promptly passed out after we got home from our little eclipse roadtrip, haha. |
