0.0...Moonlit those pictures are incredible!!! Oh my word!!! I wish I would have taken my other camera with me to try for some shots, but...I don't have a tripod nor did I have the protective filter for it. Wow!!! Those are amazing!!!

Yeah hubby didn't bother with the SLR because he doesn't have the filter for this but he said he should have for totality in hindsight since it was safe to take pictures when the moon 100 percent covered the sun.

It would still take a bit to adjust but he was the same 'him'. He just found it ironic that his affinity was opposite his uncles. (fire/psy for those wondering. The blood relation goes through his aunt, which gravitates towards ice.)

It was on purpose because I wanted something rp wise that he could always keep on striving for. He will always be at a disadvantage within his family, but that doesnt mean he cant succeed

Thanks for the compliments, y'all, I'm so glad you guys like the photos!

I don't have a solar filter either hence my only photos being from during or just after totality. ^_^;; I wanted to get one but the filter size I needed for this zoom lens cost $70+ and it just wasn't in my budget for this trip.

I also didn't use a tripod! And my zoom lens is -heavy- so I'm just giving myself a nice little workout every time I shoot with it. XD
I am generally fairly steady at hand though, since I also shoot birds in flight with that lens now. x'D
