Alexander had been wandering through the city for a while, grateful to be given a break from his own disciplined routine of fight training. Be the best. That was what they had taught him back in Greece. Now though he spotted a place with a much more relaxed atmosphere than what he was used to. Intrigued, he drew nearer until he peered through the open door. Well, they didn't look too intimidating. Not that he would party-crash normally, but he had promised himself that he would explore this new land as much as he could, so he stepped inside. It wasn't like he wouldn't be able to fight his way out if it came to that, he thought to himself smugly. He eyed all the delicious looking food and drinks with interest, but one sphinx in particular made him very interested. She looked like spent a lot of time on the sea, her hair all wind swept. Perhaps they could exchange tails of being on the sea. That was how he had arrived here in Egypt, after all. "Excuse me, miss," He began politely. "I'm not used to this land's customs... Would you be so kind as to tell me what you are celebrating? I'm just... curious, is all." Alex tried to act as natural as possible and not be too distracted by this exotic lady's beauty.
Parvati had been so bored, but now she was free! Yes, her parents had let her out at last, into the dangerous world, they said. But she was desperate for an adventure, and so, without thinking, drifted into the midst of the party full of unfamiliar sphinxes. She accidentally bumped into another sphinx, she was so busy wandering around, soaking this great atmosphere up. "Oh!" She exclaimed, looking in wonder at the dark blue and green male before her. (Dresden) "I... I am sorry." She blushed. He was rather alarmingly handsome, but then again, this rebellious female sphinx had not seen a great deal of the world so far.

Saphira turned to see a very handsome young greek solider addressing her "Oh this isn't for any occasion, really. It is mainly just to talk/mingle, relax, have fun and enjoy ourselves." She smiled warmly at him "My name is Saphira." she held out her paw. Dresden had been holding a drink in his paws when someone bumped into him causing him to spill his drink down the front of his pelt. turning to see who was responsible he came face to face with a lovely looking pale colored female sphinx. Hearing her apologize and seeing the blush run across her cheeks made dresden smile. "It is quite alright lovely lady" he said as he looked down at his now messy pelt and tried to brush some of it clean with his paw. "It will wash out fine, Im sure." he smiled "My name is Dresden." he used he clean paw to take hers and he kissed the top of her paw lightly. "May I know your name?" he asked as he put down her paw. Then out of the corner of his eye Dresden noticed a familiar sphinx walk in to the party, not wanting to be rude to his current company he asked if she would please excuse him for one moment so he may say hi to his friend, promising that he would be right back.

Morgan had caught wind of the party and decide to check it out. Tail flicked behind her as the female entered with a sort noblesque air about her, but given she was no noble, she didn't uphold the part. Glancing around to see who else was there, she grinned as she saw a certain male already there, though he was currently occupied at the time, she simply moved to the table to see what was there. "Hmmmm...my my...so many wonderful snacks to behold, but what to try first?" she mused to herself and tapped her chin. Syrena fluttered about and heard sphinxes chatter of a party. She followed a couple to the party and landing on her paws, she padded in. "Ooooo...a party! Wonderful! I could use a bit of a break b'fore I go back te sea." she purred. She glanced around at all the Sphinxes already there and grinned to the nearest one. "Hello there! Nice party!"

Dresden sauntered over to morgan coming to stand right next to her "Your beauty never fails to take my breath away." He said as he took her paw in his and kissed it gently. "would you care to accompany me over to the other lovely female that I was talking to? We can all sit, talk,an drink and I can bask in your beauty." Dresden linked his arm with hers as he lead her away back toward Parvati. Pyry was sitting in one of the comfortable cushions when he saw the lovely cyan colored female. He smiled at her and nodded "hello there, welcome to the party."

((Just realised I should post in different colours, whoops. ))
"Ah! The sphinxes of Khemet certainly seem to be a cheerful bunch." Alex replied to Saphira, who had told him that there was no specific occasion that they were celebrating. "Not like in Greece. Most of the parties there are for a reason, and when they do occur, there's always some fight that picks up towards the end... It helps to be a trained like I have been, I can tell you that." Alex took her paw and kissed it gently. Too much perhaps? Ah, he always talked too much when he was nervous as well. But hopefully Saphira wouldn't mind. "What a lovely name, Saphira... Mine is Alexander. It's a pleasure to meet you." He said politely.
Parvati blushed even more when the stranger took her paw and kissed it. No one had ever done that to her before! But she tried to remain cool. "Hello Dresden! My... Name is... Parvati." She stuttered. Suddenly, Parvati noticed that some new sphinxes were arriving. One looked like a pirate who was bright cyan, and another... Well, was beautiful, but still looked just as much a peasant as herself. When Dresden returned with this stranger, she bowed her head modestly. "Well... Hello there! I didn't realise there were more people coming! But I guess I kind of just barged in myself, so..." She trailed off, trying to stop herself from getting too excited.

Morgan glanced towards Dresden as he came over to her and kissed her paw. "And seem to continue to be entranced by it." she purred , though with his question, she glanced towards Parvati, then back to Dresden. "I wouldn't mind, but should keep your attention to both of us, this way she does not think you rude for keeping your attention on just me." She walked with him and nodded to the other. "Hello dear. I figured I would come and see about the party myself as I caught wind of the party. My name is Morgan. What's yours?" She was well spoken for a peasant, but she would sooner or later find her true occupation. Syrena nodded her head to Pyry as he greeted her. "How goes? Been a while since I've been to a party! Are there any games planned or is it merely eat, drink, converse and be merry?"

"wow parties there always end in a fight? and yes i would imagine you skills would come in handy alot." Saphira blushed when he gently kissed her paw "It is a great pleasure to meet you as well Alexander ." she smiled warmly at him and tried to think of something to talk about to keep the conversation going , she was quite enjoying this young males company. "You said your from greece yes? what brings you all the way to Khemet and to this little party of ours?"Dresden laid out 3 soft cushions for the three of them to lay/sit on "please ladies have a seat, it is so rare that i get to marvel at such exquisite beauty." he gestured for them to sit with his paw and gave a dark smile " why dont you 2 please share with me the story of how you came to grace my sight with you radiance ?" dresden propped himself up and proceeded to act as though he was waiting attentively. Pyry smerked a bit " I believe it is mainly just a eat, drink, converse and be merry party but i suppose we could start a game if you wanted and others might join in. was that something you would want to do?"

"Yes, it's quite unbelievable but sometimes people would fight a lot. Unlike your nice little gathering here, people could be quite territorial and not appreciate strangers coming in and drinking their wine. That wine, well... Only provoked more aggression, naturally." Alex explained, his eyes flickering as the memories returned to his head. "What brings me here, you ask? Well, I would say it was my own lust for adventure my dear, but unfortunately I would be lying. It was my father, Telamon, who first suggested it. He said that I should see more of the world, and perhaps learn fighting techniques used over here. All experience can turn a male like myself into a better Hoplite, he says," Alexander paused and chuckled to himself. "He can be... eccentric. But I am glad for it... That eccentric advice, had it been ignored, would not have lead me to you, my dear." Alex gave Saphira a flirty look in his eyes, hoping that she would not react badly to it. That also had happened to him before. "Stupid boy" all the ladies he'd ever courted before had said. But something about Saphira made Alexander think that she might be different. "If you don't mind me saying so, you too Saphira look like you are no stranger to travel!" He chuckled. "I would be fascinated to learn more about a beautiful lady as yourself. Tell me, what is your occupation? How did you come into it?" Alexander hoped he was not asking too many questions, but once again, that was how he reacted when he was slightly nervous.
"Hello Morgan. My name's Parvati." She said. She couldn't help but notice the graceful way of talking that Morgan had. She was a peasant of course, but thinking of her own upbringing it was hard to imagine that Morgan could have had a similar one. "It's nice to meet you." She then tentatively took a seat as Dresden encouraged them to. Then she had a thought after he said something: "rare"? for him to see beautiful ladies? I doubt it. I bet they come flocking to him. Parvati forced herself to refocus her thoughts. "Actually, I was just wandering the city, and when I noticed this gathering I simply HAD to explore... I'm very adventurous, so I've been told, but my parents who are way too protective of me told me that... Sometimes I feel like I might die if I don't escape them and see some of the world every now and then. Which lead me to... Well, here I suppose." She smiled and flicked her tail a little anxiously. She hoped she hadn't come off as sounding overly childish there. She was quite young, it was true, but not childish.

Morgan settled on one of the pillows that Dresden lay out, her right foreleg crossed over her left and she chuckled. "You dear one have a silver tongue, one that is sure to flatter many a female." she purred , though she nodded. "It is pleasure to meet you Parvati." Looking back to Dresden, she tilted her head some, allowing Parvati to speak first, soon nodding. "I had heard wind of the party and thought I would come and check it out, meet some other sphinxes while I was at it." Syrena grinned a bit more towards Pyry as he clarified what sort of party it was. "I see. Hmmm....I'm a bit rusty one what party games there are, though I'm sure we could think of a few and maybe get some others involved. I remember as a cub we played one called Blind Sphinxes Bluff. One would be blindfolded, spun around about seven times, then had to try and catch one of the others at the party. The others could tap the sphinx and dodge away, but if they were caught, they would be next it."

Saphira laughed "im not sure i would wont to be at one of those parties"she smiled as she listened to him " im so very glad you decided to come, it makes me enjoy your company even more."saphira blushed a bit at alexander "its true i have traveled, not as much as i hope to though im still a bit new to it myself but ive been on various sea voyages already and i only became a pirate last year."Saphiras eyes began to shine as she talked about her profession one could tell she loved it very much. "as for how i came in to it, well i wish i could say it was my love of the sea or adventure like most pirates can say but that was not it in my case. Dont get me wrong though i do have a deep love for the sea and adventure but i think what really caused me to want to be a pirate more then anything was my drive to just get away..."she paused a brief second and sighed before continuing " .....from everything really. There are sphinxes here i care deeply for which is why i come back here but i dont have anything to really ground me here so i thought why not go? i love being on the sea it seems to take all your troubles and cares away."she closed her eyes and smiled as she thought about it taking in a deep breath before opening her eyes again still smiling. Dresden listened to both Parvati and Morgan before speaking "I so glad that both of you decided to join in our little gathering here, no mater how you came about it i am entranced by the company of such lovely ladies." Dresden stood as if he was going to go somewhere but stopped and looked at Morgan " I dont believe i speak with a silver tongue or flattery, I simply speak the truth and it is true that im in the company of 2 exquisite ladies and there is no where else i would rather be." he gave a dashing smile "I will return shortly " he said as he sauntered off for a min before returning with a plate of various snacks "For you my ladies" he said as he gave them i slight bow and placed to plate in between then before sitting back down himself Pyry looked at Syrena a rather emotionless expression on his face "wow you really want to play a game?" his words had a hint of astonishment in the his face stayed neutral "well if you really want to play, how would we start?" he raised a single eyebrow at her showing slight curiosity in her answer.

"No. Nor would I, normally." Shyam laughed with Saphira. "A pirate, eh? How very exciting!" Looking at Saphira's attire, it all started to make sense in Alexander's head now. "Is it ever dangerous though? I hope not. I wouldn't want one such as yourself to be in danger. And is that so? I can sympathise. I feel free now that I am away from Greece, away from my home, in a strange sense. You can make a new life for yourself whilst on your travels. Some even say that one can turn into a completely different person. This I have yet to find out, however." He smiled at Saphira. "I think it all depends on the experiences you have... Hopefully we both shall have tolerable ones."
Parvati's eyes widened when she saw the snacks. Snacks? Snacks! Goodness, she was hungry. Such was the curse of peasant life, though she was at times very grateful for her life on an idyllic farm. "So... You call us lovely ladies, but tell us, Dresden, are you a lovely gentleman?" She giggled softly. "I would love to know more about yourself. Do you have any family, for example?" She watched both sphinxes expectantly as she ate her fill. All of this was so exciting!

Saphira blushed a bit "It can be dangerous at times but the crew looks out for each other as best they can, so we dont have many casualties. It dose get exciting to travel and go to other lands but the long trips to get there can be boring." saphira laughed "you need not worry about me i can handle my own pretty well and yes there are sphinxes who have completely different lives at sea its almost like there's a different set of rules out there then on land. i have seen some sphinxes have completely different personality's out at sea then they have on land as well. So far my experiences have been tolerable i hope yours have been too?" she paused and gave a light flirty smile "so Alexander, tell me a bit more about yourself, is your father your only family? any siblings? girlfriends? children perhaps?" a slight blush crossed saphiras cheeks at her own boldness "just curious is all." she added hoping he wouldn't take the question as her trying to ask him out or anything, Though she had considered it but wasnt sure how he would take it especially since she was already seeing someone but they werent exclusive but not all sphinxes understand/like sharing. Dresden laughed darkly "My dear Parvati i do try to be gentleman...." he paused and gave a dark smile "....most of the time but to be honest i believe im at my best when im not." he winked at her and the darkness in his core flashed through his eyes for a brief second before returning to normal "as for my family im no longer in contact with my mother, i last saw her when i was 7 and as for my father well im glad hes not hanging around and i hope it stays that way. I could have some half siblings out there somewhere i suppose but none that i know of." dresdens face was neutral and almost emotionless talking about his family but a close observation could detect a hint of remorse when he spoke of his mother and a hint of anger when talking about his father. "so its just me for now until i make my own family that is." he gave a mischievous grin before taking a snack from the plate and popping it into his mouth slowly licking his lips after he ate it.

Alexander smiled when Saphira blushed - he liked the fact that he was having this effect on her. "Well, I'm glad the crew look out for each other. I've heard an awful lot of stories about pirates... Stories you don't want to know! But those are just the result of Greek superstitions and stories trying to scare little children." He laughed to himself. "I'm glad you are safe though. As long as you feel safe and are happy, that is fine." He paused for a moment, thinking about how to answer the next question. "Tolerable? Yes, certainly. Though everything had a become a great deal better as time has gone on. Especially better is how they have been since I wandered in here." He grinned, returning Saphira's flirty look in his eyes. "Hmm, my mother left my father a while ago. All I know is that her name is... or was, Penelope. I have dreams about her sometimes... Just wondering where she is, what she might look like." Alexander blinked suddenly, trying to get his mind off the subject. "No siblings either, so as you can probably understand, my father has poured all his hopes and dreams into me. He prays every day that I won't fail him... His only son." He murmured. "No girlfriends or children yet either, and he'll want me to continue the family line at some point too, I expect. I'm not sure how he'd feel about me marrying a foreigner, but... I wouldn't care." He said, and then realising what he might be implying, coughed awkwardly. "Oh yes! And we have a dog back at home. His name's Arion. He'll probably be very glad to see me when I return... If I ever want to!" He laughed. "You, Saphira, are well on your way to changing my mind about returning home." He gave her a charming smile.
Parvati was surprised to see the dark look in Dresden's eyes. She'd never met anyone like this before! "Oh I'm sorry... I'm sorry if I brought back painful memories." She muttered guiltily. She'd forget sometimes that not all families were as happy as hers was... Even though hers were not always happy. She then blushed furiously when he mentioned creating his own family. Control yourself, Parvati! She thought to herself. "What about you, Morgan?" She inquired, eager to change the subject. "Any relatives or friends you wouldn't mind talking about?"

Saphira laughed " I might actually be slightly intrigued by these pirate stories that are ment to scare children, some of them may have some truth in them not all pirates are nice."she smiled "Im so very glad you did wander in here, i do so enjoy your company." She blushed at her words and stayed quite a bit to listen to Alexander talk of his family. "Im sorry about your mother i didnt mean to bring up anything painful." she looked at him concerned " it must be hard living with so much pressure form your father though." She blushed fiercely when he talked of marrying a foreigner and completely went along with his instant change of subject " I love animals, dont have any myself yet though." and she blushed yet again at his words about not returning home "It would be nice if you were able to stay but i dont wish to keep you from your home if thats were you wish to be, though if you did stay i fear my cheeks might become permanently red from blushing so much." she laughed her eyes sparkling with happiness
