A Sphinx-y Party

"Well, some of the stories I've heard were about pretty girls being kidnapped and held for ransom... Pretty girls like you... so naturally, at first I was a little concerned." He chuckled to himself. "Though now I can believe that you are not just a damsel in distress, and that you can take care of yourself. I can also believe that not all pirates are nice. Out on the sea, one can forget all sorts of things as they suddenly feel cut off from friends, family, and everything up to that point which made you who you were. It wouldn't be hard to slip into a state of... Well, madness, I suppose, and forget morality when no one can punish you when you are on the sea, living by an entirely different code..." He trailed off, deciding not to dwell on this.
"Well, I've got used to my father pressuring me. Even without a father, young men are subject to a lot of pressure to make something of themselves, where I come from. It's just the way of Greek society, unfortunately." He then laughed at what Saphira said next. "Why, I would not mind that one bit! You look quite beautiful when the colour fills your cheeks, and light shines in your eyes!" He purred softly.

saphira listened as he spoke and nodded her head and smiled a bit while he talked "yes,it is easy to forget morality when you have nothing to hang on to." she sighed "That seems unfortunate that the greek society is like that, i dont think it matters much here your aloud to make something of your self or not usually." Saphira blushed again hearing him call her beautiful "see again you make me blush, with you around i will never have my normal colored cheeks." she said teasingly "so just curious but how likely are you to stay verses leaving?" She gave him a flirty smile

"Well, originally it was just going to be a few weeks... Enough for me to see a bit of the world. Funnily enough, my father did not want me to go to Egypt, but here I am! And I'm glad to be here. I have no idea why he wouldn't want me to come here, of all places. We never set a proper date for me to return anyway! So I suppose I could stay... Well, for a good long time yet. And even if I do leave, you can be sure I will return." He paused, winking mischievously at Saphira. "So Saphira, you mentioned earlier that you felt sure that you were not in danger whilst on the sea. But do you have any methods particularly, of keeping safe? Like, um... Being strong in a fight? Or talking your way out of trouble? I would be curious to know, just out of interest." He smiled at her. "Actually, maybe before we both set out again I could teach you some techniques to defend yourself? Only if you felt it was necessary and wanted to though, of course."

Saphira smiled at Alexander the possibility of him staying in Egypt a while made her happy. " while im not super strong or anything but im not a weaking i wouldnt be a very good pirate if i was. Im decent with a cutlass, learned a few maneuvers from a vampire hunter friend of mine. I wouldnt mind learning a few techniques from you though, that actually sounds rather fun." she said giving him a flirty grin "I dont ship out again till sometime after the heb celebration, So we have a little while till then. Hopefully we can also use that time to grow closer and get to know each other better too." saphira's words were heavy with implication and she tried not to blush as she waited to gauge his reaction but she felt quite taken and charmed by this handsome Greek Sphinx.

"Oh, good! I am pleased to hear that. Though I must say I did not expect you to be completely defenceless! That, as you said, wouldn't make you a decent pirate!" He chuckled. "And I'm sure you must have learned a lot from a vampire hunter. I would be delighted to teach you a few moves, Saphira! Perhaps we can set a date and time to meet up... In the park, say, and you could bring your weapons and show me how you would use them. Even if there was nothing I could teach you, I would enjoy watching, I am sure!" Alexander felt more elated than he had felt in a long time, talking to this sphinx. He then heard what she had to say next, and coughed rather awkwardly. He knew he felt exactly the same way about her that she seemed to feel about him, but unfortunately his Greek life had left him unprepared for most things social, let alone this! He was not complaining, however. He was sure he would know how to talk to a lady as he went along, and he would rather practice by talking with Saphira than with anyone else.
"I am so pleased to hear of your plans to linger a while longer in Egypt." He began. "And being able to get to know you better along the way also, well... That too would please me." Alexander purred, feeling quite satisfied.

"That sounds like a splendid idea, i cant wait to start, when should we plan it for? Its kind of getting dark now but maybe tomorrow? or the next day, if your not busy that is or whenever is best for you." Saphira tried to not sound as giddy excited as she felt she just knew she wanted to see him again as soon as she was able. To be honest she would be fine if she never had to leave his side, she smiled to her self as she thought. Though was quickly shaken out of her daydream as she heard Alexander cough awkwardly she laughed a bit at this, her laughter was melodious as it rang through the air. She smiled warmly at him there wasnt any other place she wanted to be right now " So Alexander, what do you hope to see in your future? a wife or wives maybe? a husband? Children?" she asked a bit playfully.

"Well, tomorrow would be..." Alex paused for a moment, "Fine! Just fine. I am quite eager to see you again, Saphira. If of course, that is alright with you?" Alexander was then slightly taken aback by the next question Saphira asked. "My goodness, Saphira! I've really never thought about that..." He stared deeply into her eyes. "Until now." him saying 'now' could have meant one of two things. One, that 'now' meant the moment she had asked that question. Or two, that 'now' was actually the now that he had spent all along at the party, and had been thinking about even before Saphira had asked him that. But it was clear that Alexander meant the second option... His eyes were giving her a flirty, knowing look. Truthfully, he had always hoped for a female as charming as Saphira to be married to. In fact, he was grateful to know someone like her at all.

Saphira blushed hearing that Alexander was eager to see her again, "alright then tomorrow, its a date!" she said playfully smiling " you have really never thought about what you would want in your future?" Saphira asked slightly shocked then she began to blush heavily at his added "until now." she hoped he ment it the way she took it, though the look in his eyes said he had. "so you honestly don't know if you would want a wife or wives? a husband or children? sorry for asking again im just rather intrigued that you have never thought about it before." she smiled "Personally myself im open to all the above, wife or wives, husband or husbands, sharing each other and children as long as everyone is one big happy family it all sounds great to me. " She smiled happily her eyes shining. She hoped this slight confession didn't scare him off, not all sphinxes were keen on the idea of sharing but Alexander seemed open minded she hoped she was right.

Alex stuttered, "Well, you know, training as intensely as I have for so long... doesn't leave you free for many other... things. I mean, I expect I'm a brilliant hoplite now, but is it worth it? The society where I come from would say yes! But I'm not sure if it really is. So many things I've missed out on, never experienced, or even thought about..." He blinked a little bit, removing the sadness from his eyes. He then unexpectedly burst out laughing at what Saphira said next. "Multiple partners? My, my father would be appalled! Although, that is precisely why I like the sound of it!" It took him a while to stop chuckling to himself, clearly amused by the thought of the shocked look on his father's face. "Then again, it is actually quite common in Greece for men to have relationships with other men... Not so much with women. Then a man will take one other wife usually to have children with..." He coughed again. "One big happy family?" He smiled wistfully. "I like that. Actually, I think I like it a lot."

Saphira frowned slightly at the sad look in Alexanders eyes when he spoke of missing out on so many things because of his training "you know its never to late to start." she smiled teasingly. she was glad to hear what he said next about being open to "multiple partners" "Dosent it sound nice? I always thought so." she smiled happily "Here there are all different kinds of families, its really nice, everyone just kind of goes with whatever they feel is right." Saphira glanced at Alexander an amorous look in her eyes, she leaned in and gave him a light kiss on his cheek "Im really glad your here."

"Oh, I hope it's not too late to start!" He grinned at Saphira's teasing smile. He then listened to what she said next about them having all sorts of families in Egypt. "Wow, that sounds very... liberating? I'm sure you can tell, or probably feel that I've come from a rather strict background." He barely supressed a purr when she kissed him, and he nuzzled her gently near her neck. He could smell all sorts of wonderful scents on her, like the fresh smell of the sea, and it was intruiging. "I'm glad to be here too, with you... You have no idea how glad I am."

"Yea its not really strict here at all, i mean i suppose some individual families could be but the society as a whole is not." Saphira purred softly when Alexander nuzzled her neck and she gently nuzzled the side of his face. she liked feeling his face against hers it felt nice. " why dont you tell me then? " saphira smiled flirtatiously " If I dont have any idea, then why dont you tell me how glad you are to be here."

Morgan chuckled with Dresden's words and watched him move of a moment before he returned with the snacks. "Thank you Dresden." she purred out. She listened as he spoke of his family and she sensed something as he spoke. When asked of her own family, she rolled her shoulders a little, but she looked to her paws a moment before she looked towards the pair. "I had a family, but i do not call them family anymore, not after they abandoned me when I was seven." Her eyes held a soft, misty glow to them and her front paws seemed to clench a little. "We had been at the Heb, enjoying our time. Father gave me a pouch of money and asked me to get something for them all to drink. When I returned...they were gone, but my plush kitty was still where I had left it. I called out for them, searched everywhere I could for them, but I couldn't find them. I spent the rest of the day looking for them till it started to storm and everyone started to take cover. I ducked into one place and stayed there. I cried till I fell asleep and when I woke up, I was in someone else's home. The older sphinx,whose name was Shoshan, said she had found me in an abandoned home and brought me to safety. I told her what had happened and she scryed for my parents and brother. She found them and we overheard them talking about how happy they were to have abandoned me. I was so mad that I accidentally broke her scrying mirror. I apologized and she fixed it with a wave of her paw. I was amazed and asked her to teach me. She saw power in me and started to teach me." Her body had tensed a bit, but she then relaxed and sighed softly. "It is hard for me to get close to anyone for fear of being abandoned again.


Syrena chuckled to Pyry and nodded. "I'm sure we could get some sphinxes involved." She glanced around at those within the area, before she cupped her paws around her mouth. "Oi! Who 'ere wants to play a game?!" she called out. She was sure they could get some interested.

Alexander burst out laughing when he heard Saphira's question. "Saphira, I have never met anyone in all of Greece like you! But that is why I am so glad to be here. I am glad to be here... Because... I feel free now that I've met you. This might sound strange, but you've opened up my mind to many possibilities I had never previously thought about." He smiled when she nuzzled him back. "And, I must admit that I find myself quite taken with you..." He purred.

Parvati's face fell when Morgan described her childhood. Oh... I'm so sorry! Some families... honestly, that is terrible. Why would anyone want to abandon you? No one deserves that." She murmured. "Now I feel lucky to have the family I have... even though they get on my nerves."

Saphira smiled warmly at Alexander words "It dose not sound strange at all,I am so very glad i could help." Saphira blushed at what he said next "Admittedly, I feel quite Taken by you as well Alexander." She purred his name and feeling slightly shy by what she just said glanced toward the ground.




Dresden sensed Parvati's fluster over him starting his own family and Smiled Mischievously at her "Its quite alright dear do not fret over it, you had no way of knowing my Cubhood wasnt full of happiness." one could tell Dresden was attempting to choose his words about his cubhood carefully, it was obvious he didnt want to go into detail about it. Dresden turned to listen to Morgan tell of her unhappiness as a cub, Dresdens eyes flashed with anger and a deep darkness " Im sorry you had to endure that Morgan, It is truly your families loss to not have known such a beautiful lady. Though to look on the light side, though horrible as it was it did seem to work out in your favor, had they not abandoned you, you might not have ever meet Shoshan and learned her ways." He turned back to Parvati "So what of your family my dear?"





Pyry smirked at Syrena as she yelled for people to join the game though he seemed indifferent to whether or not they showed up. Then a young brown striped Sphinx walked towards them.


He walk up next to Syrena, "Hello, im Niaz. what game did you have in mind? how many players would we need i might be able to round up a few more of my clan mates for one as lovely as you." the sphinx definitely had the mystery aspect to him with most of his face covered and his eyes had there own mysterious shine to them. Behind him Pyry could be seen rolling his eyes at Niaz's use of the word lovely.
