Past RP posts:((Link to previous going ons. For simplicity assume that its only been a few days since hanging that stocking. His side is still crushed and he hasn't really moved all that much: sphinxes.proboards.com/thread/485/gather-round-mantelpiece-cyo-stockingsTheres a link there that should direct you to how things started.)) Sheriti: *bounces over directly next to Aeion* Hello there. *blinks her fascinating eyes at him* Aeion: With his back against the wall and his eyes semi closed, the male tried his best to lock in the coordinates. He was still much too weak and it just didn't come to him. How he wished he could just warp out of here! He was surprised to see a female of some sort paw up to him. The locals here didn't give him the time of day..why did she? He opened his eyes and tried to shift but winced as his crushed side flared in pain. He looked up at the female wearily. 'Who..what are you?' Sheriti smiled at Aeion softly. "I'm a Sphinx, but obviously you knew that," she giggled. "I'm also a Priestess. Are you hurt?" She frowned. (Aeion):Still weary and clearly confused, it took the male a bit to try to piece things together. He held himself in a defensive manor as much as he could (though it kind of failed as his side shot up in pain). Priestess..Priestess of what? There weren't any priestesses back home or with his cousins half way around the globe. He tried to interpret the females intentions but he blinked abit when she inquired if he was hurt. 'Youre the first to approach me..not even the guards cared. Why do you?' He was still weary and untrusting..but if this female had healing properties he may as well hear her out. Sheriti stared at Aeion, not quite sure how to take his rough speech towards her. Carefully, she sat down, speaking, "Well, I think a better question would be 'Why wouldn't I care?'" And that's where things left off.

The male carefully watched the female sit down. He was still soo surprised she was even stopping to look out for him. He paused and looked up towards her. He...didn't get any negative vibes but he was still cautious. In his state he couldn't defend himself if she (or anyone else) were to strike.
'Im not exactly from around here'
He was unsure as to whether or not he should explain why his side was crushed.

Sheriti smiled at Aeion. "Well, where are you from, then?" she asked simply. "And what happened to you? It seems bad. Perhaps I can try to help?" She sat beside him, tail flicking back and forth. She felt rather protective over this stranger. "I'm Sheriti, by the way."

Aeion shook slightly as he tried to lift himself into a seated position (he was laying down prior). He shut his eyes in pain for a good second, then looked back over at the female. He could feel some kind of protective vibe coming off of her. She kind of reminded him of his little sister and his heart pang of worry for her.
He shook his head, still clearly in pain. 'Its my understanding..that beings from here do not know of the place im from. Its parallel to this one but few from this plane ever cross over successfully.' He paused, guadging her reaction. 'My..ally thought that saving me required a steep drop from a vertical portal. I have yet to recover from that fall'
He sighed, wondering where Zuri was and why he dumped him here of all places.
He hadn't even seen anyone else *from* his plane, Hyelia. The thought of another dimension existing would probably be alien to any of the locals here.
He shook his head. 'It doesn't matter.' He looked over towards her, still slightly weary. 'You have the ability to heal?'
((He will introcuce himself when he is more trusting of her or is sure shes not going ot attack him))

Sheriti considered helping Aeion stand, but she wasn't sure how he would react to her help.
Hearing his strange explanation for his home, Sheriti paused to consider this. Stranger things had happened, but she wasn't sure she entirely understood what he meant. "Hmm, I think I may not understand, but you're saying you fell from a portal? Like the one to Lamoria?" Sheriti tilted her head, thinking. This was quite confusing information, but with the new happenings it wasn't entirely unbelievable.
"I'm a priestess. I can send a prayer to the goddesses for you. I myself can't heal you unless they grant me the ability to heal, but I can try my best."

A small confused glance braced his features. 'Lamoria? That the hole some demons ripped through days ago?' He tilted his head towards the direction of the portal. It wasn't visible from here but it was clear Aeion could feel it or at the least knew of it. 'Nothing that corrupt would last that long within our plane.' He shook his head at the thought and it kind of amused him slightly thinking of the consequences of something that evil being trapped within Hyealia. Had he been back home and uninjured he would enjoy taking care of those types.
'It would have been brief, lasting maybe a few seconds. Its simple to tell who created what and why.' He closed his eyes 'It wasn't first, it wont be the last..but he usually doesn't create it soo high or leave me stranded. I have heard some call it 'going pearshaped''
He opened his eyes and looked back up. Your..goddess would find favor with an outsider like me?' He was slightly confused. Healers could typically use their auras at will.

Sheriti winced at the stranger's pain. She felt bad for him, and she was eager to help him if she could.
"Yes, where all the demons and such are coming from. I'm sure your home is quite lovely, but perhaps I should help you and then you can explain it more to me?" Sheriti said this in a comforting tone.
"I'm not sure what the goddesses will think, but I believe they may be able to help you. If you can give me a moment, I will go pray to Isis for your healing." Sheriti didn't want to leave the wounded Sphinx, but prayers to the goddess wouldn't be taken kindly if she didn't take the proper steps.

Aeion watched the female and listened carefully before giving out a hesitant nod. He was no healer, clearly, and he needed help.
He wasn't familiar with the practices of the locals so just silently let the female do her thing.
He was still cautious but it was more for the unknown.

Sheriti smiled. "I'll be back soon." With that, she disappeared off to the temple to pray to the goddess Isis for her new friend's healing. She was gone for hours, because she had to make an offering to the goddess and spend time in prayer.
She returned some time later, hoping her new friend didn't think she had forgotten him. She was eager to see if her prayers to Isis were going to be answered. She had never tried praying for help for someone who wasn't native, but she had done all the proper preparing and paid Isis all to proper respects. Hopefully her friend had showed some improvement.
((Should we roll the dice to see if he's healed? XD))

((not bad. So hes maybe 60% healed. That could be enough for him to atleast walk and naturally heal the rest off. Ill have to roll again to see if hes well enough to locate the coordinates for this area))
Aeion watched as the female left him and he slowly tried to lay back down, wincing as he moved. He closed his eyes slightly, enduring what he could and focusing in on his immediate environment for potential threats because, while he was in this state he was not at all comfortable, especially in an area he was unfamiliar with.
He watched as the locals did their day to day thing and he noticed the sun moving in the sky.
After awhile he felt a tiny prick of relief near the center of the area that was crushed. Startled, he looked down and winced again as he moved--but it wasn't as bad that it had been hours earlier. To his surprise some kind of healing aura began to grow around the initial spot, slowly surrounding the injured parts. He shut his eyes and felt the calm wash over him--it was...similar to what Zuri would do, but different. It felt odd having something happen without seeing its source.
The area began to glow in a soft golden light before fading gently into his side. It soon disappeared completely. Looking at his side curiously, he started to slowly get up. The male was very stiff and he made a bit of a face realizing it. The pain, while still there, had been cut by more then half.
'Maybe it will heal on its own' he pondered softly, and he looked around to see if he could spot the female from before.
Without luck, and unwilling to move, he closed his eyes and focused on the city. He had no idea if he was well enough to track its location down but he wanted to try.

Sheriti hurried back to her new friend as fast as she could after sending up her very best prayers to Isis. She hoped her prayers had worked. She could only do minor healing on her own without the goddesses blessings, and she knew her friend wouldn't last long if she couldn't help him. Upon returning, she saw a strange golden light glowing on her friend's side. She gasped, and hurried to his side as quickly as she could. "Did it work!?" she shouted, perhaps a bit too loudly. She really hoped he felt better. She hated seeing others in pain. She was a very loving Sphinx, and she very much wanted to help this stranger from this other, um, dimension as he had called it. ((Uh oh. Not a good roll. ))

((nope. Hes not strong enough to get the coordinates for this area yet...so he cant warp/teleport out. But I think I can make that play out if I use him for the one story plot that's up))
Aeion didn't realize that the female would return in the opposite direction from which she left, and so he was looking the other way. The young male visibly jamp slightly, having been caught off guard, his arms in a defensive position. When he noticed the female, he dropped his arms back down and allowed for her to sit by him, should she choose to. He still wasn't picking anything negative off of her, though she sure knew how to startle him.
'Nexttime, let the non native know if there is more then one path?'
He took a deep breathe in relax his nerves. Was over exuberance a female thing? His sister would sometimes do the same thing.
After a few seconds, he gave a small nod. His voice was soft so as not to attract extra attention. 'So it was you? Im not sure how you were able to use that aura from that distance, but it seems to have helped a bit'
He tried to stretch out. It was clear that he was still injured but it wasn't near as bad as it was.
'I think the rest should heal on its own'
he made a bit of a face. Not being able to really access some of his innate abilities wasn't exactly the definition of joy. He hoped that the recovery would now be quick. At least he could move again.
Aeion looked back over to the female. 'Looks like I owe you my thanks. You had said that you were Sheriti, correct? I am called Aeion.' He nodded his head slightly.
((As a note, you should beable to understand him clearly but hes got a non native accent. It would sound a bit exotic with a main Irish/English vibe.))

Sheriti giggled when she scared him, hearing his words about two paths. "I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking. I didn't mean to startle you. The other way back was just faster, is all."
Sheriti looked him over carefully, trying to see the signs of healing while she spoke, "No, it wasn't me. It was the goddess Isis, though I think I should be able to handle the rest of the healing if you'd like me to try?" Sheriti couldn't heal extensive injuries like the ones he sustained when he fell from the portal, but she could heal minor injuries with a fairly high success rate. She was very glad she had helped out this strange, foreign Sphinx. She felt accomplished as a Priestess, as this was her first extremely important task she'd undergone.
Sheriti smiled warmly at Aeion. "Yes, I'm Sheriti. It was my pleasure to help you, Aeion," she thought for a moment, realizing she knew very little about him and vice versa. "So, perhaps now that you're feeling a bit better you can tell me more about this home dimension of yours?" For the first time since she met Aeion, Sheriti noticed that he was rather attractive with lovely dark brown hair and eyes, and a very interesting outfit unlike any she'd ever seen before.
((Ah, so she would find that attractive, I think.))
