Previous posts....  Setab:*bounds into the thread to see what kind of mischief she can cause*
 Xylia sat in the shadows behind the clamor of sphinxes. When she spotted the purple and black sphinx named Setab, that had talked to her before. Though still wary of social interactions with sphinxes she wasnt attempting to kill, she held her ground and decided it was best to stay in the shadows where she felt comfortable. Setab thought she saw something familiar in the shadows, but she dismissed the thought when she craned her head in that direction and couldn't see anyone or anything. She flicked her fluffy tail back and forth rhythmically, stalking for playthings. Occasionally, she stole a glance towards the eery shadowy place. Xylia made no attempt to remove herself from the shadows perfectly content with watching. Ephah, on the other hand thought it was about time his mistress found someone, be it friend or lover. Ephah flew from Xylia's shoulder over to Setab, squawking a bit to gauge her attention before landing on her shoulder. This caused Xylia to slink into the shadows further, cursing under her breath. Setab's eyes lit up. She remembered that raven from somewhere. Suddenly remembering, she swaggered over to the shadows, swishing her tail happily. "Xylia..?" she called softly. Ephah flew from Setab's shoulder into the shadow and squawked again. Xylia sighed and slightly stepped out of the shadows throwing a sideways glare at Ephah who was now perched on her own shoulder. "Hello again, Setab." she said quietly. Setab cocked her head to one side, considering what to say carefully. "Hiding in the shadows, eh? I could go hide in the shadows with you," Setab purred, winking at Xylia, kicking herself mentally for that last line. Not supposed to talk to beautiful ladies that way she reminded herself. |

Xylia smiled a bit and blushed slightly. "Ya, hiding in the shadows is kinda what I do being an assassin and all."

Setab grinned playfully. "I thought assassins just came in all crazy and killed Sphinxes? I suppose that does require a good bit of hiding in the shadows, however," Setab considered this, wondering what it would be like to have that sort of job. Being a Seductress was exciting, but it was also physically and emotionally exhausting at times.
While Setab was thinking this, Xylia could have noticed a brief look of longing and disgust on Setab's face if she'd been playing close enough attention. Setab regained her composure fairly quickly, however, and her normal playful expression returned.

Xylia was paying attention and did notice Setab's brief look of longing and disgust but wasnt quite sure what to make of it. "Ya assassins require a fair bit of stealth when stalking or hunting our prey. So that they are not aware of our presence and dont try to run or escape. Its easier that way, to stay unseen till its to late." Xylia's expression hardened a bit but she shook herself out of it and it softened once again. "And we only go after sphinxes that are causing trouble or ones we are contracted to kill." She smiled softly. "How do you like your job?"

Setab grinned playfully. "Yeah, that makes sense. I don't think anyone would be crazy enough to willingly allow you to end their life." Setab considered her job again. "Our jobs are a bit different, I'd say. Mine requires me to be seen constantly, whereas yours requires hiding. A change could be nice..." she tapered off, noticing Xylia's expression change.
"My job...um....well," Setab did not know how to answer because no one really asked her about her job, unless she was working for them. "Being a Seductress is fun mostly," she decided on, "It requires being friendly and nice to everyone, which I'm pretty good at. It's an interesting job, for sure...." Setab found herself experiencing a foreign emotion - embarrassment about her line of work.

Xylia pondered whats Setab said. "Ya I suppose our jobs are very different. Im not really use to being social or talking with people that Im not contracted to kill and even then there's not much you really say to someone your about to kill." Xylia looked down and away feeling suddenly shy. "It sounds like you like your job, I like mine too. Ive always been pretty awkward socially so having a job that doesn't require you to be social at all is nice for me in a way but also doesn't help in times like now when I actually want to be social and cant manage to do it without being awkward." She gave a shy smile.

Kamenwati whacked at the pentacle on Setab's tail, making Setab jump a little. "Oh, silly kitty, stop that," she said lovingly.
"That must be lonely. Then again, being a Seductress is lonely in its on way as well," Setab didn't elaborate. "I don't know if I entirely like my job, but I've never done anything else, and there are very few Seductresses (in fact, I believe Setab is the sole Seductress - custom class). I make a living, and at times it is rather fun..." Setab didn't want to admit that sometimes she wished people wanted her for her and not for what she could give them.

"Ya I know what you mean. It does get lonely sometimes.Being in assassin is the only thing Ive really known as well. I grew up on the streets and ended up pick pocketing a skilled assassin when I was young. Instead of them getting upset though they kinda took me under their wing and had me train with the other assassin trainees of their guild. The other trainees weren't very fond of me though considering they all worked and climbed through the thief guilds to get to the assassin trainee level. As you would imagine It didn't take make for many friends. Which was fine with me, I guess. As I said before I was always socially awkward." She gave a weak smile. "So how did you get into your job?"

Setab listened intently to Xylia, enjoying having someone to talk to about something normal for a change. Or, at least what she thought was 'normal.' "Well, it sounds like you got very lucky and the others were just jealous. Like with you, fate put me in my job. I've never had the opportunity nor considered doing anything else. My job is needed for those who just, um, well, don't want to be alone at times. I'm rather good at seducing Sphinxes, and I hope that doesn't scare you. I'm just the right person for my job, I suppose." Setab had never explained her job to anyone (and found it rather hard with PG ratings XD) and she was very embarrassed. She was visibly blushing.

Xylia had never talked to any other sphinx this extensively before. She had never really talked much at all with another sphinx before, though she was finding the more she talked to Setab the easier it seemed to get. Xylia had never had that happened before, usually she got more awkward till eventually she would stop talking and leave the conversation. "It doesn't scare me. Why would it?" She saw Setab blushed talking about her job and Xylia realized just how cute she thought setab was and she gave her a reassuring smile hoping to help ease her embarrassment.

Setab blushed harder at Xylia's question. "Um, well because I thought you might think I was using my seduction techniques on you..." she said, her voice shaking a bit. No Sphinx had ever made Setab feel this way. Hm, this is strange, thought Setab, I have this funny feeling in my stomach like I might barf...or, perhaps, this is what they call 'butterflies..' Setab was confused at the way she was feeling. Usually she was so suave and easy-going when she talked to other Sphinxes. She'd never felt nervous before, at least not that she could recall. Perhaps when she first started her job, but that had been years ago.

It was now Xylia's turn to blush and be embarrassed she had not even thought about Setab using her seduction skills on her. "Honestly it didn't even occur to me that you would." Was Setab saying she was interested enough in her to want to seduce her or that she wasnt? It was rather confusing to Xylia really. "Do you seduce any sphinx you want? Or do you get paid or have contracts to seduce certain sphinxes? How does being a seductress actually work?" She was generally curious now. Xylia thought maybe if she understood more about Setab's job she could determine if it was a good or bad thing if Setab did or didn't use her seduction skills on her.

Setab listened intently to Xylia, glad the beautiful assassin didn't think she was using her seduction techniques to betray her trust. But when Xylia again asked about her job Setab's eyes widened. Clearing her throat, she began to explain as best she could (on a PG rated forum). "Well, you see, generally most people know what my work is, and so they seek me out when they need my, er, um.....'services.' Then, once they pay me I use my seduction methods on them," - Setab really hoped she was making sense - "However, if I'm running low on clients, - which I'm not, might I add - I take things into my own hands and become a bit more flirtatious." Setab was smiling, more so because she was embarrassed than anything. Also, Xylia seemed to make her smile a lot. "Um, basically my job title means that I become one's partner for the evening." Setab closed her eyes, waiting for Xylia's response.
((It's REALLY hard to describe this without exceeding the PG rating. XD))

Xylia listened as Setab tried to explain her job. "I see." She replied thinking about it. "It sounds like it would be a difficult job to do at times." She blushed again. "Being someones uh.....partner for the night. Some one that doesn't really want you but your services." she looked down at her paws and shuffled them a bit. "I guess they wouldn't know how lucky they were." She smiled shyly blushing more.

Setab frowned a bit, listening to Xylia and realizing how right she was about her job. "It it difficult at times, but it is my job." It hurt Setab a bit to think that her clients didn't really care for her, but when Xylia added the last bit, Setab couldn't help but smile - a huge smile, fangs glinting in the light. She blushed a bit, too. "Aww...Thank you. Perhaps one day someone might." She waggled her eyebrows a bit, smiling still, but without her fangs showing as much.
