Ooh Menkhef looks like he'll be a cool addition to the darker residents of the Sphinxes community! I love how Aranea made the snake look skeleton-y and those bird skull pauldrons look detailed nicely =O Grats on that awesome looking lad! The drawing bug was itching, didnt get the chance to draw while helping mom move. I fixed it with a Zara  |

Yes, characters do not always cooperate with their creators. I have a very small handful of characters who are... hard to describe. More like a ride than something I control? I find this fascinating and totally not crazy, (-8 |

Many of my Husband's and mine tend to start how we planned then take off into totally not the planned direction as if the do not care at all anything we have to say. Those are the most fun to work with. And most memorable.

Yeah, but its fun to see how characters evolve over time as you use them.
Tell you this, I never thought Kirah would ever marry let alone fall in love with a human, or make friends with some drow!

while we're on the ideas of characters, I would so love some suggestions in regards to a couple of mine this gal, my first sphinx, had a pretty clear idea of where I wanted her to go when I had her made  now I'm feeling like nope, that's not working anymore, I'd love suggestions on wig, class, and trait ideas for her , especially if they nudge away from the character she was named after ( for instance I've even considered redoing her into some sort of fine priestess, were combo ) and then there's this guy..  he and I have a rather, rocky relationship, to the point where I've lost all connection to him , I'm so torn between just leaving him as is and trying to trade him whenever that comes up, or potentially getting some refashioning done on him too, again I'd love, love, suggestions here ( thing that is running in my head atm is retool him into more of a dragon overall, change class, maybe ( since I have a thing for were's ) make him a dragon were.. ) |

Mmm I think Harley quinn's grim face colors might work well for a necromancer or possibly a mourner with a different colored outfit or a different outfit all together. Perhaps a skeleton sphinx if you would like to delver into trait changes.
Astaroth, I think a wizard suits him well. In a way he comes across as some sort of astrologer to me. Perhaps he is a wizard who's magic depents on the position of the stars? Or perhaps he teaches astrology to youngins?
I personaly would leave Astaroth as is unless RP drives him into a new direction.
^_^ Just my trail of thought.
Sorry Aholland, I have pretty much dropped PI now. Sphinxes was really the onliest thing that kept me coming back there =O

A wig change into another wig and color and a name change would go a long way to help Harley out of being that character. I want to say I originally gave her a white wig, if curious. Though a variety of colors would look nice on her too  |

Sorry I've not been on! I've been watching all the pretties! I did have two questions. One was, will there be customs that we can use currencies for other sites like Flight Rising or something next year? So people who can't afford USD could get a chance at a custom? Also question 2 I had was will there be a trading season this year?

Mr. Pooka has mentioned there would be some way to get customs using other currencies, but I believe the what/how's have not been ironed out yet.
There are some things going on in the background that push development into a slow progression on many fronts, as I am aware alot more was planned but had to be put on halt for now.
With the skip to SmugMug, I feel a trading season will not be soon. There are some minor hiccups that need to be straightened.

This is my personal sight on things, and is no way a representation of the Pooka's. So don't take this to heart to much ... but I feel I should put it in the front light mostly due to my easy to worry personality.
Sphinxes are now sorted by owner, previously on photobut they where sorted by ID.
There is no up-to-date and complete reliable "master list" anymore due to this and I personally vote against a trading season now untill there is one, even if I would LOVE to trade again.
A solution was in the works and should have been finished, but as mentioned above it falls into the "on halt for now" category.
I am very worried if a trading season rolls out now, mistakes are going to be made and we may have duplicates of sphinxes here and there |D

yeah wolf her original wig was solid white, at the time I made the wig change on Harley I was seriously going to go through with a very specific to the name design which I've since reconsidered
also if my post was the one to start this stuff about trades I do apologize it wasn't my intention to do so. In my head when I wrote that it sounded way more hypothetical than it may have seemed to others, if need be I can edit that out.
