It was late in the day, the sun nudging its way towards dusk, but not quite there yet. When into a shadier section of the park, scampered one bored demon female  Upon seeing no one around she settled on her haunches to groom herself, and work on repairs for her weapons. Even while in the midst of this she tapped the tip of her tail against the ground in annoyance. After what felt like an eternity to her, she heard soft footfalls, as out of the shadows crept her closest friend from within her personal pride  Riona huffed as she flopped inelegantly to the ground, spikes of hair falling into her face. |

As Dusk began to fall on the city, Julian made his way to the great park so he could do some practicing with his magic and not accidentally irritate anyone back home.  Behind him padded Aldric sullenly.  Aldric kept pace just behind Julian, having followed the mage out to just get some fresh air and a bit of company. Both stopped when they reached a shadier part of the park where Julian started to set up a magic circle to use for his practice. "Why don't you just relax and enjoy the remainder of the day, Aldric? No need to let things ruin this lovely evening." Julian commented to his friend as he worked, to which Aldric just snorted and laid down in the grass with a huff. |

Shiklah's tail idly curved a crescent into the air behind her as she sat. The blonde beauty wasn't one for long stretches of peace and quiet, feeling that quiet was only necessary when she was working. If something didn't change soon, she had half a mind to make some sort of change, regardless of the means. Grey blue eyes flickered closed as she attempted to sniff out whomever may be nearest to the two of them. Riona let out a slight huff , she was restless and itchy, feeling the need for a shift coming on. Being the only wolf type were in their home was on occasion a blessing, but more often a curse, as it left her feeling bitterly alone a good deal of the time.

Aldric watched Julian work as he set down stones in a strange pattern in the grass, then proceeded to give a gruff laugh when the first set of practice magics turned into shiny blue sparkles before dissipating into nothing.
"Oh be quiet." Julian huffed. "It's just a new spell so I have to work out the kinks, now would you stop." he crossed his paws over his chest as he sat back on his haunches, tail twitching in annoyance. Aldric shook his head, ears twitching and tail wagging. "No thank you. I find amusement in your failures." he teased and Julian grumbled in return, trying instead to focus on his work instead of the snickering wolf sphinx.

" I'm bored " Shiklah announced to, well, the space around her at large. Being that Riona was not paying even a speck of attention to her. " Then go bother someone else " Riona snapped, her eyes narrowing under the spiky fall of her hair. " If you're so peeved why don't you just shift and I can chase you around, see if we find anyone? " The were let out a huff at the suggestion " fine, if it'll get you off my back for even five minutes.. " Riona stood, shaking out her clothes and such, before letting the overdue shift overtake her.  the sandy hued wolf was soon off on a merry dash, with the demoness loping contentedly after her, unwittingly headed right into the path of those who'd happened to be nearest them. |

Julian's spell dissolved into sparks multiple times, Aldric chortling at each attempt. This only irritated Julian but he knew the wolf was doing it on purpose so he did his best to ignore him. Amidst his own chuckles and laughter, Aldric paused to listen to the world and thought he heard soft padfalls in the grass...

The tawny female wolf traipsed ever closer to the break in the bushes. She flicked an ear at the noise she was hearing. Shiklah paused a moment, sniffing the air " I smell demon blood.. though it seems.. diluted.. aww " she mock pouted. It was always more fun to harass and startle full demons like herself, especially when they found out she hunted them. Idly she picked up a stick and threw it over the bush. The stick landed right in a compass point directing her forward. Though not specifically chasing the stick Riona pushed through the bushes, stopping at the sight of others.

Aldric was the first to his feet, alert and watching the newcomer curiously while Julian watched another set of sparks fade from the air. After they faded, he turned his gaze over to the bushes and flicked his tail. He could sense someone there now that he was paying attention and this wolf was clearly not what it seemed to be.
Still he didn't sense danger...exactly and smiled at the new wolf in the area. "Hello~"

Riona stared at the two males, alert but confident in her posture. " Hello " she remarked calmly, tail flicking back and forth in an easy non threatening manner. Shiklah padded through after her " oh hello gentlemen, sorry to interrupt, or did I interrupt anything? " she purred. Her tail flicked idly behind her, the flirtatious tone was casual and carried not even an iota of serious interest. " So you must be the one I smelled.. pretty little sparkles there " she idly teased the mage.

"Smelled me hm? Well..." Julian chuckled and looked at his magic circle then shrugged. "Yes well pretty and useless. But that's how it goes when you're working the kinks out of a spell." He replied with another chuckle and glanced at Aldric who had sat on his haunches and was studying the two carefully.
"Don't mind him he's naturally distrusting," Julian added and smiled as Aldric shot him a death glare.

Shiklah shrugged, black tipped blonde locks rippling with the movement. " I wouldn't know, spells aren't my forte, though I can use a few. More on the restraint and immobility line though than offense. " She was neither hiding nor overtly showing her weapons, the most prominent of which was of course the sword strapped to her back. She cast a glance at the wolfish male sphinx and smirked slightly " oh? that makes two of them then, since that one " she nodded to the tawny wolf " is a real stick in the mud too. Unless she's chasing down game or running around outside the city walls she's no fun at all "

"Ah, wolves, noble and stubborn creatures," Julian commented with a smirk while Aldric glared at him. "As for spells well, we mages don't like to spill our secrets." at that he smiled, but it was guarded. He'd, of course, noticed her weapons and her air spoke of many battles before.
Aldric just stood silently appraising the two women with curiosity, though his expression was still mildly sullen.

Shiklah's laugh in return to his comment was dry and amused. " Oh no, far be it for little old me to try and peak at what you're hiding under those robes of yours ". Stormy blue eyes sparked with playfulness at her own wit. The late day trickles of light glittered off the almost wet looking blood like appearance of her horns. She considered herself the sort of female who was a pretty mix of danger and fun rolled into one. Though she'd yet to meet anyone who'd made her even consider divulging a thing about herself. She flicked a glance the male wolf sphinxes way, a smirk curving her lips " and what's the matter with you hmm? got a stick up your rump, or perhaps being leashed too much by the old ball and chain? " her teasing words were met by a low annoyed growl from her wolfy companion. Riona seemed none too pleased with her friends attitude.

Julian just chuckled, his own horns, deep violet and ruby glinted against his dark hair as he moved slightly to look at Aldric. The wolf looked mildly perturbed -but to his credit- Aldric just gave a dry, derisive snort in response. He shook out his fur and gave this horned sphinx a good look over. "Are you in the habit of insulting people when you walk up to them?" Aldric asked dryly and Julian nearly facepalmed when the wolf sphinx opened his mouth to speak.
"Being rude back does not help." Julian grumbled under his breath and shook his head, looking at the other female with a sigh and a shrug. "Can we start over? Hi, I'm Julian." He gave a lopsided smile.

Instead of appearing upset Shiklah simply broke out in laughter at Aldric's response to her. " And what would happen if I were to say yes hmm? I simply like causing a bit of mayhem and fun, I don't see that as being a crime.. " She flicked a glance back at julian " Shiklah is the name I was given, charmed " Riona chose that time to shift back to her sphinx self. She glanced over at the three of them, mildly curious, from beneath the fall of her hair. " Don't mind her, she can be rather grating on first meeting "
