And of course I'm a MN Vikings fan and 'Skol!' is their chant during home games and they play today so...I hope this brings them luck in beating the Seahawks today XD My knowledge of sports can generally be summed up by the "Go sports go" some by Garfunkel and Oats, (-8 ...but it does feel like a great day to be a Viking! also if anyone needs some extra atmosphere... we've been listening to a live station on Youtube, Fimbul Radio... noting but viking and norse music, (-8 (and some sometimes accurate viking facts to boot, (-8) |

Bhindi paused in her efforts to get to the Great Hall when she heard her name. The striking male gave off a presence she knew well from her time in Valhalla’s halls. She smiled warmly amidst the cold winteresque scenery and nodded, “I do hope to exchange tales of the adventures that lay in our pasts. I shall save a seat in the Great Hall, Byeleiptr” Following the exchange her feet crunched along the snowy streets and carried her the rest of the way to the Great Hall. Upon entry her ears and eyes were filled with joyous activity. She found a seat at a table surrounding herself with kindred spirits. One of which offered her a horn filled to the brim. She lifted it with an expression of appreciation and happiness perched upon her face and exclaimed “Skol!” |

 Fulvipes stalked through the town square on her daily rounds, more dour than usual. It was growing season in Akhet, which meant the weather was only getting warmer, the days longer. It never sat right in her bones; this time of year she always seemed to crave the cold, the comfort of a cheery hall, its residents fighting off the chill of snow and ice with fires and drinks and revelry. A shiver went down her spine as she thought about the weather she'd most like to have, a small smirk crossing her lips. She expected her body to warm back up in the sun, but it didn't happen. Instead, she felt a cold gust of wind ruffle her fur and slither between her scales. Her ears pricked up as she finally turned, seeing the portal in the square with the inviting snow-covered scenery inside of it. Other sphinxes noticed and walked past, muttering something about Yule and Katterheim. Some stepped into the portal as she watched, paws leaving prints in the fresh snow as they made their way to an inviting lodge a bit past the portal. She felt a draw toward the portal and, shifting her spear and bracing herself, stepped through the portal and out into icy wonderland it promised. A freezing wind whipped through her hair, dragging a swirl of snowflakes with it. Fulvipes inhaled deeply, eyes closing in pure bliss as the icy air burned her lungs. It felt cleansing and pure, and as she exhaled, her sour mood went with the steam that puffed from her nostrils. She made haste for the nearest friendly-looking building, a longhouse by the looks of it, and open to the public if the light spilling out of the open door and the clatter of drinking horns had anything to say about it. The dark, fox-looking barbarian had made it seemingly just in time for a round of "Skol!" She gratefully took a drinking horn from a strangers' hand, savoring in the honeyed aroma of mead, and added her voice to the loud cheer in the hall. She didn't know anyone here, or at least... she was fairly sure she didn't. And yet she couldn't help but feel welcome and at peace, as if among an old group of friends.  |

Glorel glances around to the others that joined, nodding his horned head to them. Such a place reminded him of home before he'd left. He missed such things, but he would not return to that home. Horn was raised and sip of drink was taken.
