Just thought I'd put this out there. We're just gathering again in readiness for Heb (YAY!) and this is also a strange world we're currently existing in (Covid-19 - BOO).
BUT it brings to mind something I enjoy and I think many of us do. Gaming.
What do I mean by saying 'Gaming'?
I'm talking about your video gaming, tabletop gaming, board gaming, DDO/GW2/GW/LOL/ESO gaming. I'm talking Steam, EpicGames, Playstation, Nintendo, Sega systems. I mean PC, console. I MEAN IT ALL.
Basically I'm just curious what everyone likes in games? Is there a current game you are just raving about? Something you're eagerly waiting for? Something you still love for nothing more than nostalgia reasons? Are you a RPG single player person? Or perhaps you LOVE indie horror genre. Let's talk about it!
I'm just curious and I spend A LOT of time with others playing or talking about games. SO I wanted to see what everyone here likes. And maybe make some fun connections for people who didn't realize they liked the same games!
Additionally, we can always learn about new games. Old games. Things that are just fun to chat about. Anything to really. <3
HAVE AT THEE! Tell me about yourself and gaming.
((ALL GAMING TYPES WELCOME))

I'll start I suppose.
I enjoy games of all kinds. I have several gaming systems and grew up on Nintendo console gaming and some PC.
Some of my favorite games right now are:
Five Nights at Freddy's games (I'm more a fan of their story/horror aspects; not so much playing them as I get panic attacks easily. XD) [STEAM/YouTube] Dead by Daylight (I'm not high ranked, I took a break from this for several months. But I enjoy it with friends.) [STEAM] Ark: Survival Evolved (Paul and I host a server; Ragnarok because I LOVE griffins) [STEAM] Stardew Valley (who doesn't love a farming simulator) [STEAM] Tabletop Simulator (BEST THING EVER. Online we can play board games of all sorts and it's endless hours of good clean fun. Minus table-flipping because THAT mechanic annoys me.) [STEAM] Don't Starve Together (another fun group game. I'm new to the fun of it but it's cute) [STEAM] Armello (a board game on steam that is just so FUN. And not super long/drawn out. Very nice for groups.) [STEAM]
League of Legends (a newer edition to my gaming set; I'm not great. But I enjoy TFT - Team Fight Tactics a lot.) [RIOT games]
Minecraft (diggy-diggy hole)
UHM.. yea. That's about it that I currently play. There are some other randoms in there but I swap around. I really enjoy the stories in indie horror genre games, but again with anxiety, I can't play them. So I watch playthroughs and theorists online to get my horror fix.
If you wanna add me on steam, just DM me. I have privacy settings up for.. reasons. BUT yea. <3
OH and I'm SO DANGED EXCITED for Final Fantasy VII remake. SO EXCITED. I might be a little.. too excited. XD

Do...do I have to list them all? o.0
Umm...I like a lot of adventure/fantasy/puzzle/story type games.
Online--GW/GW2 (PVE..I hate having to combat against other actual people). I like Sims 4 for the building aspect and can get lost in there ^^ Then ive got my 'pet' games I use for distraction. FV/FR...I have a chicken smoothie account but only just grab monthly pets/items. Im on PFQ and will be on Dappervolk when that goes live.
Console--umm....too much too much! It ranges from final fantasy to Zelda to tales of games to pokemon and more. I like watching some FPS if they have a good story behind them (I loved mass Effect) but I cant personally play it. My anxiety...nope! I like rhythm games, building games and tactical/puzzle games too. And then things like majong and bejeweled.
Ofcorse there are series I grew up with like sonic and some of the Mario games (I like paper Mario--the original one thanks!)
Tabletop: D&D is at the top of that list. I love EXIT! games--which reminds me. Toxi, did you get a chance to play the one I sent you?
Umm....Catan/castles of Burgandy/Lords of Waterdeep/ what was that stained glass game? I think it was called Azure.
Ive been poked to play things like zombees!/dead of winter but anything horror/zombee/scary isn't my cup of tea.
Oh--Brandon had a really neat one that was a kickstarter that's called the 7th continent. Its REALLY interesting and something I suggest others look into if they like long lasting boardgames you can actually save and continue like rpg.
Tip of the iceburg...really. You opened up a can of worms!
ETA: Stardew valley--I tried that. If there wasn't the time aspect or it was slowed down majorly, I would more then likely love that. There was a game called farm 51 that was similar that I really liked and overall I seem to enjoy resorce gathering/gardening/building things from the ground up.
Im also going to put things like AC and tomb raider onto the 'will happily watch but cant play' lists. The original metal gear solid is also on that list. I liked the story and the puzzles/tactics but couldn't actually physically play.

Hmm... I love pretty much anything in the Fire Emblem series since Awakening came out. I'm currently on my fifth play through of Three Houses and probably my sixth or seventh on Awakening.
Final Fantasy X and X2 are some of my favs. I have them for the Switch but haven't dedicated any time to them since Fire Emblem ate up my gaming time.
Civilization 6... I find it so relaxing somehow.
Rhythm games like Pianista or Final Fantasy Theatrhythm
I was never really into Pokemon until Let's Go came out, but I enjoy them now.
Blasts from the past... Dragon Force for the Sega Saturn (ours still works though it's not hooked up right now).
I like board games a lot, particularly various versions of Life, and I own a version of Candyland from the early 90's. It was the best one in my opinion.
I'm looking forward to the FF7 remake to some extent. I'm worried the way it plays with all the 3D world running around is going to induce lots of motion sickness. We also don't own a Playstation 4, so we'd have to invest in a new system. And, since the Playstation 5 is supposed to come out around Christmas time and be fully backwards compatible (finally!), I think it might be worth the wait. I'm also not sure how I feel about the story being broken up the way it is. I might want to wait until both parts are available and maybe in some kind of boxset or something.
I've also been considering buying Tokyo Mirage Session #FE, but I'm on the fence about it.

I don't really have much time for video gaming anymore, but when I do...
Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) is my primary, ongoing MMO game. I've been playing since beta, and that has actually very gradually turned me into a primarily PC gamer. I do miss the feeling of just relaxing on the couch with a controller in my hand, though.
I started a second play-through of Witcher III last month after the show dropped on Netflix, but playtime has kind of petered out for me because of springtime and lawn care getting into high gear and eating up my little free time.
On my list to replay eventually:
Final Fantasy XII (my fav of the series) Okami Skyrim Assassin's Creed: Origins
I'd also really like to try Planet Zoo, but it's a newer game and hasn't gone one sale cheap enough for me yet. XD Has anyone tried this one out? Would you recommend it?

I wanted to try Planet Zoo so baaaad! I loved the Zoo Tycoon games growing up and I always spent hours and hours trying to complete all the campaign modes in the game ;_; I wish it ran on Mac or even console, but I don't have the hardware yet to run the game.
I've kept my games to a minimum, to finish one before I buy another lol. I'm very pick but I've been enjoying (and finished!) Ori and the Blind Forest. If you enjoy platformers, I highly recommend this game. Plus, I just bought the sequel; Ori and Will of the Wisps. It's going to be good time ^^

scorpiomilo -- All fantastic series! I enjoy the stories for Silent Hill as well but I'm not as well versed in them as I am in like FF or FNAF etc. XD melodysangel -- Makes sense. I'm not a huge FPS game player but I know Paul loves them. Honestly, I get motion sick in FP play. XD I haven't been able to play Exit. We had a family gathering planned in which I could use it and well.. you know what happened. q.q Operetta -- Haven't played Fire Emblem myself but I've heard good things. I know it has a relationship-building mechanic as Dragon Age did. And that it's a totally different style of game from DA, that just happens to be the only thing I can liken it to at this point. FFX and FFXII were also faves of mine but I've also played them so many times. XD Phoenix Stardancer -- VERY nice! Of your tabletop experiences do you have a favorite system? Have you tried out Pathfinder 2nd ed? What are your thoughts on DND 5th Edition? I'm always curious. I was taught originally (and relatively recently) in original Pathfinder and I realized I don't enjoy 5th edition and I'm not sure I will enjoy Pathfinder's 2nd edition. Though not enjoying 5th edition might be more attributed to the DM I was working with. >.>; jeanstarwind -- I hear ESO is fun. I've only played one version of Elder Scrolls. I should probably play others. When I have the impulse. >.>; And yes, FFXII was a GREAT version. Not my ultimate favorite storyline but it comes in second. FFX taking third if only because FFXII exists. XD Siopilos -- For you both, I dunno. I purchased it in beta and tried it out for an hour. Expecting I was going to LOVE it. Because I've loved tycoon building games since original Sims City games came out. But I just.. it was so clunky and slowed my computer. I only got an hour of playtime in before I requested my money back. It could just be me. Would def say wait for a good sale to grab it. Maybe it will go on sale in Steam's Summer Sale? Who knows. If it was on a REALLY good sale then I'd say worth it if you got any playtime from it. But at it's current price point, I would not buy it and play. Personal opinion.

Sweetintoxikation Honestly I enjoy both Pathfinder and Earthdawn. For both, I favor the 1st Edition. (Though Earthdawn I will gout and bring compatible stuff back to use in First that I like from other editions of it). They both have very different systems and allow for different experiences. Pathfinder 2nd and D&D 5th don't appeal to me personally

Tabletop RP nearly all the way!! We use the Pathfinder system with whatever fantasy setting we're doing. So we'll use the D&D 5th ed games and translate it to Pathfinder rules. We just started up a new adventure with Mr. Ito and Eiko doing an adventure path. But I can't really say anything about it since we plan to RP our own characters going back and forth between the offline game and Sphinx event using some of the same theme. So, I can't give any details about our offline game... save that they're doing some archaeology. I'm with Phoenix Stardancer about 2nd ed Pathfinder though. I really don't like it and don't want to touch it with a 10' pole. The online game we play is Runescape, and it currently has a huge list of things to do that you get rewards for. Also as usual I'm on a few virtual pet sites that I pretty much check daily: Flight Rising, PI, Subeta, Furvilla and Wajas.

FFX and FFXII were also faves of mine but I've also played them so many times. XD It does have a function that allows you to build support between characters, and certain titles within the series have children characters you can get. My favorite part of the games though is the story. The amount of history and world building they squeeze into a single game is pretty amazing.

Sweetintoxikation - That's a bummer to hear about Planet Zoo! The game looks gorgeous, but if it doesn't play well then that's no fun. Maybe they'll fix some of that in the coming months. If it does pop up cheaply enough on a Steam sale I might still go ahead and grab it, but I'll be more cautious now, thanks! And in general, if anyone is interested- ESO is having a Play for Free event that will run from April 1 to April 13 (April 1 to April 6 on Steam). This is only for the base game, no DLC, and no access to the ESO plus subscription benefits but it's still a great way to try out the game! More info here: Event Post ClickyIf anyone wants to do so and/or has any questions about the game in general, feel free to contact me! I'm happy to jump in the game to help you get started. I have characters on both the North American and European servers (though the European characters aren't as advanced) and am more than willing to help with leveling, crafting armor, tossing you some 'getting started' funds, etc. The sixth Anniversary Jubilee event is running at the same time, so there will be a double XP bonus available too.
