Sati saunters up to the crew being ushered into the large craft. Curious for a new experience and well, she HEARD adventure and ship. Those two things were RIGHT up her alley of things she likes. Besides, it was part of her job with the Mirage crew to explore. She'd need to see things with her own two eyes; the better to describe them to Cashile and Boian later..

Sati glances over at Kemat; watching the slight sheen on their fur. "Breathe slowly.. it helps." She adds a little wink before settling down to visit the airship. Very curious as she starts seeing riveting and steam and metal. Metal all over. This all feels so alien..

"What odd and ssstrangely dressed Sphinxes that have come to visit us!" The Captain commented. "Mussst be that time of year again. But you bunch look like you're into a lot of trouble... ssso don't mind if I do join myself." He grinned, fangs glinting.

Kemat glared at the retreating phoenix-tailed sphinx. She was just fine! She didn't... Her stomach lurched severely before she could even finish the thought, and she took a couple of slow, deep breaths. Perhaps the lighter colored lady had been right. Given her hat, perhaps she had seen similar reactions at sea? It was an interesting thought, but for now, she just needed to focus on not losing her last meal.

Tosses a helpless male in to go a visiting and seeing things.

Gilbert gulps. Hadn't he been through enough last time. He glances at the little dino that followed him. And then there was the Alien women that had tried to keep him. Now this. Why oh why did it have to be him.

Sati glanced over as the brightly hued male stepped in just behind her. His comments about 'that time of year again' ringing true with her experiences as well. Upon spying his hat however she lifts one brow and her head dips ever so slightly in acknowledgment of his dress choices. "Nice headwear.." She murmurs before getting distracted again.

This discomfort of Kemat was not missed by the pale sphinx and she quietly twitches her heavy long feathery tails out of the path in case breathing doesn't help enough. But at the signs of deep meditative breathing she'd relax herself. Disaster currently assumed to be averted for that individual.. at least.

((It's just a tour and a game. No need to worry too much about who you're going to have there. It's not like they're taking off with the sphinxes. lol ))

~The ship sailed swiftly towards the gathering of other airships. It was clearer from here how enormous the central ship truly was! It was so large that there were docking ports for the regular sized ships! As the Obsession neared the docks other sphinxes came out to help with tossing ropes and tying off the ship to the 'dock'. A gangplank was placed between the ship and dock. Such a thin piece of wood to walk upon separating you from safety and a plummet into the ground very far below. It was still a simple walk onto the ship, even if the sight nearly gave you vertigo.~

~Tameere lands down on the ship before the group~

Tameere: Welcome to S.T.E.A.M.! 

(For visuals, if I'm not getting it across correctly, the main ship is around the size of a large cruise ship!! ))


~With that the greek sphinx takes you for a walk around deck, then a tour below decks. The pure colossal size of this place was staggering! There was so much to see! She points out the floors upon floors of cabins, facilities for what she calls 'science', a library... was that a tavern of sorts over there? The corridors were staggering and confusing and many of the 'buildings' in this had strange pipes and wires of sorts. There was a garden grown in the center of the ship, and... was that a zoo? 

There was too much for your average sphinx to take in at once. This was basically a city, compacted together into one large ship and then stacked layer upon layer.~


Tameere: We think of this place more as a flying metropolis, or city, then a ship.

Okay, coming up next is a franken. 

Usual Franken rules. I ask for 'something' that needs to be responded to (ie. a colour, or a certain type of picture) and you post it. The first to post correctly after me gets their submission added to the franken sphinx, and now is in the draw for the sphinx and cannot post another answer to a prompt.

There is one difference here though!!

In your response post you need to also post a picture of one of your sphinxes (or more then one if you really like) commenting on how they're seeing wondrous things. It can be as simple as 'Look at that!" to complex. This is mostly to add flavour, but a requirement to make it a touch trickier.


I'll wait a bit to make sure that there aren't any questions. ^_^

"Hurry now! Hurry now! We are almost there!



The crew of the Bright Duchess had been enjoying a light afternoon snack when an all too familiar sound had brought them out of the shop they had been in and running out into the streets. Tuomas led the way - how could he not charge when such an opportunity was presented. Perhaps these people would be able to help him get the Duchess flying again! "Hurry!" He called out again.



"Right behind you, sir! Hopefully they aren't pirates, sir!" Jorma called up to Tuomas, huffing a bit since he had just finished a very large and indulgent meal.

Behind the two males, Maarit trotted along looking rather annoyed at all of this, but she couldn't deny even she was hopeful this might be something.



"If they are pirates, you're both in big trouble!"

As they arrived, they saw a final few sphinxes disappearing into the smaller ships and without hesitation, Tuomas led his group onto one before it took off. "Whew. Made it."

The ride was short and they stepped off. "Well, she's a might bit bigger than the Duchess." Tuomas chuckled.

Mirakel slithered onto the ship with the crowd. Everything was so shiny, she was in awe of it all. This was definitely the coolest thing she had seen today.

"Come on Zaida, hurry up!" she called back to her cousin that she had dragged with her.



Zaida looked around slowly following Mirakel "Are you sure this is a good idea?" She said a bit wary of what they were doing.

Lin dipped his head in a deep bow with one paw over his chest towards Sati for maximum flourish. "I knew you were a lady of fine taste, indeed." He winked at her before feeling distracted himself. What a marvelous floating ship they were in... even if it did smell and look a little strange.
