OMG! She's freaking amazing! A Christmas Carol is one of my favorite things about Christmas. So excited! Now to see what kind of chains I can conjure up. I think we've watched nearly every version/variation of a Christmas Carol that exists while we were working on this, (-8 ...some I'd never seen before, like The Man Who Invented Christmas which was pretty good, or even A Nashville Christmas Carol, which was... definitely a movie! *listens to the sounds of Yule... by which I mean snowmobiles driving down the street!* I've got a couple of Sphinxes in mind for chains... *Keeps making samples*

The Muppet Christmas Carol would totally be a contender for one of my number one favorites if I was forced to make a list! ...now it seems the Stingiest Man in Town seemed to slip through my net and I'm not sure if I've seen it? I'm going to have to see if I can find a version to add to our list!

It's one of those classic Rankin/Bass cartoons. I have it as part of a collection.

So glad that my shopping is already done. I picked up everything for Christmas dinner today. All that's left is to acquire dessert. I was thinking of making a pecan pie and a chocolate pecan pie.

This should cheer up Selene IVOne of the fave traditions we have in our household is more centered on our pets. Sang and I buy pet stockings every year for the animals. Then on Yule we give them the toys from the stockings.

The animation looked familiar... It seems like something I might have seen when I was younger but can't seem to remember it with any clarity...
and I've been so into Pecans this Yule, (-8 Pooka wanted some for her Cheeseball coating because that's what they used in the recipe... but finding pecans up here is difficult, we so rarely see them at all so I didn't have high hopes when I went the the store earlier this month. Low and behold in the bulk section of the grocery store they happened to have bags of them, a Yule miracle, (-8 I put them on my cheese ball too, and am saving the scraps of chopped nuts for my oatmeal! (there's lots of little bits left... years ago we bought a 'Slap Chop' more as a joke than anything else but occasionally we pull it out and it still does a pretty good job, (-8)

How was it? I thought it looked really interesting.

Finally home and I can catch up properly (note: whenever I see a poor scribe with the worried face anywhere near Selene... I know what's going to happen to the poor thing so that needed no catching up >.>) and ahhhhh I'm so excited!!! The priestess looks lovely and I can't wait to see the... well, everything else ovo
The "A Christmas Carol" movie with Patrick Stewart is very good if anyone is looking for more Christmas Carol themed moves :3
And pecans mmmmm I love pecans. I found a recipe for an absolutely fantastic pecan pie a while back and I think we'll be making that soon.

Last Heb nobody noticed Selene's very sneaky fine priestess trials... so I figured that I would give away a pre-made one for Yule. ^_^ I noticed them, I just didn't have anyone at the time to make into a fine priestess and I never said anything XD I can't remember what page, but I noticed something. I'm currently watching one of my favorite versions of A Christmas Carol, the one with Patrick Stewart as Scrooge. I love that version as well as Disney's A Christmas Carol with Jim Carrey, Mickey's Christmas Carol, and Muppet Christmas Carol(light the lamp, not the rat! light the lamp not the rat!!!). I love those four versions. oh wait! There was one done for tv years ago called Ebenezer. It stared Jack Palance as Scrooge, but it was done with a wild west twist to it. I really liked it. I still remember the one song that was sung at the end.
