I've been working on posting to the Sphinxes Instagram the last few days and plan to keep at it, (-8 Atm I think I'll mostly be using it as a showcase gallery to display some of the prettiest pretties! ....and there is a lot to choose from... If anyone has any Sphinx (or netjer or time raptor or any other creature in your folders!) that you want to suggest or nominate totally post it here or PM me and I'll work it onto the list, (-8 ...and totally feel free to mention your favorites owned by others as well! I was just thinking that--this is day 2 of the weather dropping to just above no jacket weather..and im liking that change (the rain-ma-getton...while I do love a good downpour im glad its over so atleast the ground can start to abosrb it). As far as instagram goes, im not on there but id be honoured if you picked out a few from my pack. I wont choose myself since id get deathglares from everyone but I have many OCs and just as many beautiful darlings that im sure would make a great example--depending on what you still need  |

I wish it would be more fall like here. The temp is dropping very slowly but its in the mid 80s so still to warm for me.
As for Instagram feel free to post any likes or faves or anyone from my pack, it would be an honor and you are more then welcome to tag me as well.

Totally thought I had posted before, but I love your siggie, Pooka! It's super cute! Also, I got to wear long sleeves for the first time this past week, which makes me SUPER happy! I'm sooooooo glad that summer is coming to an end.
I am so excited for an autumn event! I love fall and pumpkins and Halloween so much. I do like winter better, but fall is a close second.
Also, I hope everyone is having a marvelous day! XD

I posted in the sphinxes discord, but I should probably put it here as well. Before the Heb my tablet stopped working properly on my newer computer, so early on I switched back to my old computer so I could keep doing art. That old computer died recently so I'm stuck not being able to draw again. We can't get the tablet to work properly and Mr. Pooka now thinks that it's the program and not the computer itself or the tablet. I'm looking into a new digital art program, which has to be PSD compatible (Affinity seems good) and will be getting a trial of it soon to see if it works. According to other artists online it's a few months before you can get the hang of it after switching from PS. It also doesn't have an animation option so I'll need to keep my old PS program (with the glitchy, dotting lines) to switch back and forth to animate. I'm going to try hard to get templates and colourings ready for an autumn event, but I can't be 100% sure I'll have it ready in time.  I really, really want to do this though so I'll try my best to get it done!! If for some reason I can't get this done in time we do plan to do this themed event at some point, and have a ton of notes about it and a big 'to do' list for me again. So it will happen at some point, whether this fall or at a later date. Let's hope that my tablet works in another program. If it doesn't... I don't know what to do. |

Wait....there's a Sphinxes discord?! How did I not know of this? When did this happen? I think some team members made it years ago but I wasn't really even aware of it until we were setting movie nights during the Heb! I've been doing some rearranging a bit now as I learn my way around... I'm no discord expert! ...but I've needed to use it for another big project so I'm on there all the time atm... I think this is the link anyone needs to join? discord.gg/9KWJSwxyThere's not a ton going on there yet but I'm sure it'll have it's uses (including setting up some RP sections, perhaps game threads for big events etc.). If anyone has any input or ideas for something that might be useful totally tell me and I'll see what I can do! |

We already had frost once... but its warmed up a bit again but still in a nice fall way. I love the fall so much! We're planning a fairly big drive in the next few weeks (depending on weather and such) so I'll prob have some nice fall pictures coming up soon... We'll be heading up the highway for a waterfall and fall leaves day. |

They are calling for a cold winter due to la nina. Im just hoping that we can hold onto fall for as long as we can ^^ I feel like my window to separate hosta of doom is narrowing >> Need to do that on a weekend but its too big and heavy for me to dig up. Need boyo. Fingers crossed! Also, ouch What version of PS is acting up? |

That sounds super fun and relaxing, Mr. Pooka! Also, I'm really sorry that the tech issues are continuing. That's super annoying. The trees here change colors, but it's not overly vibrant and doesn't last long. Or.. at least it feels that way? I'm not sure why that is, but I know further north it's a different story.

Also, ouch What version of PS is acting up? CS3. I've been using the same one for a long, long time now. lol Although I'm trying the trial for Affinity Photo and it's great! It will be slow for the first while learning to use it, but it seems to have nearly everything.... except for animation. |

I would HIGHLY recommend Clip Studio Paint and many artist friends also swear by it as a fantastic Photoshop alternative. I'm relatively sure you are also able to animate on the program though I have not had any reason to yet. |

We often get a long lovely fall up here with hilltop vista's of the changing colours, (-8 (personally I love the yellow and orange ones, being red/green colourblind I don't notice half the changes.) ...but some years we can get storms just as the leaves are starting and it tends to rip the all out fast making for a short window of viewing. Seems like it might be a good year this time around though! ...and while Pooka's tablet problems are a major pain, at least we cornered the problem (which was a slippery one!) and can move forward and work at finding something that works. I'll check that one out to wolfrysk, thank you! |
