I posted in the sphinxes discord, but I should probably put it here as well. Before the Heb my tablet stopped working properly on my newer computer, so early on I switched back to my old computer so I could keep doing art. That old computer died recently so I'm stuck not being able to draw again. We can't get the tablet to work properly and Mr. Pooka now thinks that it's the program and not the computer itself or the tablet. I'm looking into a new digital art program, which has to be PSD compatible (Affinity seems good) and will be getting a trial of it soon to see if it works. According to other artists online it's a few months before you can get the hang of it after switching from PS. It also doesn't have an animation option so I'll need to keep my old PS program (with the glitchy, dotting lines) to switch back and forth to animate. I'm going to try hard to get templates and colourings ready for an autumn event, but I can't be 100% sure I'll have it ready in time.  I really, really want to do this though so I'll try my best to get it done!! If for some reason I can't get this done in time we do plan to do this themed event at some point, and have a ton of notes about it and a big 'to do' list for me again. So it will happen at some point, whether this fall or at a later date. Let's hope that my tablet works in another program. If it doesn't... I don't know what to do. I would HIGHLY recommend Clip Studio Paint and many artist friends also swear by it as a fantastic Photoshop alternative. I'm relatively sure you are also able to animate on the program though I have not had any reason to yet. I can back this. There are 2 versions of it. I use Paint, but there is a pro as well and it has a trial to it. You can indeed animate with. How much and how many frames is dependent on the version you are using. Sang got it for me when he bought my first tablet. |

If it doesnt work out try CS5 or 6. I think Adobe went onto the cloud with the BS monthly fee after 6

Those are helpful hints. Thank you. ^_^ I'll be looking into a few things to see if they're PSD compatible if I can't get a different copy of PS. So far Affinity Photo seems to be good, but I'll open up the files in PS to make sure that they clip/stack correctly since it seems to be somewhat different in Affinity.

Does Adobe still have the cheaper subscription service where you can license just one of the apps for $10 a month? I thought that was an option, but I'm usually on their full sub plan because I use a lot of their products. ^^; I'm glad there's more competition with Adobe though! It makes the market more rich for us creators.  |

Probably Sio. I'm just glad to have Clip now since it was a one time purchase and I will own it forever and not need to worry anymore. I still love photoshop, but Clip has a lot of things to offer.

I was able to get PS CS6, so things are back on track. ^_^ I hope that I can get everything done in time since I'm a few weeks behind now.

Okay, we have a set date for the event. ^_^
Unless something de-rails it, we're aiming to start on October 20th. The actual event and games should start then, but we may have some prequel rp notes in the general thread if we have time. ^_^
