Tiaua was distracted by the lovely introduction to Lotus. And so did not see the giant pit of quicksand that she stepped into. Her time in the deserts of Ahket at least mean she had heard of this pit type trap before but it didn't mean she was going to be quick at getting out.

"Ah..ahh.. Oh no.." She said, turning from her chat with Lotus and trying to back-pedal out of the sucking substance of sticky grossness. "I.. have to remember to move.. slowly.." She pulled at her front paw with slow motions, trying to dislodge it.

Lotus tensed up as the little one ignored her offering and began..,was that tears?

She felt the ground shake and her heart sank when she turned around to see what may well be the little ones family



'Oh dear. Im not familiar, am I? I had hoped I was not scary.'

She looked up and offerened the same greens to the adults. 'I promise, these are perfectly edible. My midday snack. See?'

She took one of the leaves and ate it, opening her mouth to show it was swallowed.

Tiaua hissed a little as her attempt to pull her leg out resulted in the other sinking faster and deeper in. She turned her head and tried to pry the leg that was sucked in deeper out, "OH.. No. slow .. and ..st-steady.. they keep saying.. sl-slow and st-eady."

Lin noticed the huge dinosaur barreling after them and nearly choked on his poke. He quickly scooped up Vez who was more than happy to cling to her master's back as he made a run for it. He picked a direction, any direction and immediately fond himself nearly dumping Vez into the rapids of the river.

"Okay, okay. Think, Linny. I see the rocks, and I see the broken trees rushing down the water from the dinosaur. And I have trusty rope—never be without rope, Vez–that you can help pull me along." He chattered away hastily at Vez who was not amused but ready to go. She grabbed the rope in her talons and off the explorer went to brave the rushing water.

Neti blinked as she came across the angry triceratops. How could she defeat this thing?! It had three spears on its head for crying out loud! Neti carefully looked around and found some lovely plants and vine to tie into a bundle before tossing it as far as she could, hoping it would give her enough space to sneak past the large creature.

Houston went walking in the general direction of the forest with the rest of the group, but his lack of vision didn’t serve him well. He ran right into this big dinosaur. Love let out a hiss. “Oh, well, hmmm, perhaps I can just shove this big obstacle out of my way?” He gave it a try, gently shoving on the dinosaur’s rump.

The monolophosaurus was smarter than anticipated and as Terra tried to slip past it turned around and shrieked at her, charging. "Shoot, Marl! We done messed up!" Terra grabs the cat and yanks the rope, the poke slips free and she swings it up above her head, catching it on a tree branch. She yanks and swings herself and her cat up into the tree. The dinosaur shrieks at the below. "I bet these tree branches are stronger than they look," she muses. She swings her rope and catches the next tree over. She leaps and swings into the next tree as the dinosaur angrily jumps at her below. "The tree canopy might just be the way to get into that lab Marl!"

Houston shoved the dinosaur a little harder now, and it let out a loud noise. It was not pleased to be shoved.

Amin was busy stuffing his face while Mr.Ito was talking he simply nodded along happily to have some good food without having to make a mad dash to enjoy it.
Then he said something about lending a hand. ~ there is the catch. no such thing as a free meal~ Amin thought as he started to follow the others.
Then there was a loud scratch in the bushes to his left.
This did not sound great.
Looking deep into the bushes he jumps seeing something looking back at him

"Oh dear." he whispers to himself before he takes off running

Lotus sighed in relief when the adults niffed and began to eat her greens. 'I hope that is all.' She looked down at the littlefoot and smiled. 'See? Tastes good! Now you be a good little dear and help your family. I cant stick around but i do expect you to take care!'

With that, she carefully backed away and once a safe distance continued on towards her original goal.

Lin had overestimated his weight and the currents pushing against the logs coupled with slippery rocks. He slipped into the water, effectively losing his favorite hate with the best colored plumage, grappling for the rope. Vez flew after him down the rapids and tried her best to pull her master out of the water while Lin kept his head above water and held tightly to the rope.

Pedram blinked at the sight of the large creature in front of him. It was low to the ground so he concluded that if he moved through the trees he could by pass the creature altogether. AFter thinking on that he jumped to the treetops to move through them and bypass the club-tailed creature
