Happy thanksgiving <3 We are crashing today. Yesterday was filled with shenanigans from both families and included apple picking in the rain >> Happy Thanksgiving to our northern friends! Thank you! Snorlax needs a bit more stuffing still... it's kind of funny though. Our apartment is to tiny for me to pre stuff it because there would be no where to hide it, so I had to just guestimate and hope, doing it the night before, after Pooka went to bed, (-8 ...it's also even bigger then I would have thought! When I lay it on the bed, the head touches the headboard and the feet go past the bottom of the mattress, (-8

I should also be back into my inbox this week for anyone waiting on me! I'm trying to squeeze it in between some necessary fall actives... like salmon fishing, which was a giant success for me, (-8 I caught the biggest fish of my whole life then an hour later I caught an even bigger one, (-8 Nothing more satisfying then seeing a shelf full of yummy canned salmon, (-8, except maybe eating it later.

Ack, I'm a little late, but Happy Anniversary Pookas!! That's awesome  Friday morning I went and got my pretty plastic card XD Yea, got my official driver's license. I waited an hour before my number was finally called. Got that taken care of and then Dad and I were off to the one gun show we like to go to...me driving to and from the show. Normally we go on Sundays for the show, but since my Dad and his friend are out of town this weekend to Tuesday, Dad figured we could go to the gun show on Friday. It worked out. Driving in Friday rush hour traffic wasn't so bad, but...yeesh. I had one very impatient person at one point behind me in a freaking Alfa Romeo 4C sports car...to which if I stood beside it I'm taller than this freaking 'casket on wheels' by at least a foot and four inches. I'm doing the speed limit, which for now I'm comfortable with and this dip stick was blasting her horn. At one point she passed me on a double yellow line WITH oncoming traffic! All I heard from my Dad was 'oh that would have been beautiful if there had been a cop in that line of traffic' and I said 'oh I wish'. She didn't get very far because we caught up to her ten minutes later in a line of traffic. Main reason I didn't want to drive: All the idiots like that pain in the butt on the road. I don't have the Buick just yet. Still going through 'Dad driving tests' and it's annoying. Yea, he's trying to look out for me, but he needs to loosen the reins a little. He has seen that I've improved, he's seen that I can make turns and stay in my lane when I do that. He's seen that I can handle traffic and being on the highway. Not everyone has 'perfect' turns, but it's like he wants me to be the 'perfect driver'. No one is perfect, even he makes his own mistakes. I just wish he'd trust me u.u |

I can't say for sure, but it's starting to look like our event may be ready sometime on the weekend, or Monday. We can't guarantee that it will be in that timeframe, but we're aiming for it. ^_^

This has absolutely nothing to do with tomorrow's event, but recently I had this creative urge to make a bunch of valkyrie characters. They're all 'non-typical' valkyries, sort of more monstrous races who died valiantly. Somewhere there is a regular valkyrie who just really likes to check battlefields for those who are often looked over. She may be getting scolded for it. lol Gallery of the ValkyriesIn the RP book 'In the Company of Valkyries' they have a lesser type of valkyrie done up as a race instead of a powerful outsider. They can start as any humanoid race (I included a monstrous humanoid), and when being reborn they become how they view themselves as an ideal warrior... appearance changing etc. I tried on purpose to give them different types of wings to reflect this as well.  The dwarf is still a typical type of race that would become a valkyrie, I just had this cool picture of a dwarf artisan who makes the weapons, armor and winged helmets for the valkyries and I couldn't help but write her up and draw her. |

*wanders back in from the forest* It's been a very busy fall... I'll have to catch up a bit later though, I've got a few more things to 'dig up' for what's shambling our way today, (-8 *grabs shovel gets back to work*
...also, it's snowing outside here!

Ah, that's to hot for me, (-8 ... I've been waiting for this snow! It's not quite photogenic yet, kind of giant wet flakes (though as I typed that I looked over and it seems to be getting thicker and heavier) but its the first snow I've seen this fall. It feels more appropriately seasonal though... we had unusual T-shirt weather last week, so this just feels nicer, (-8

Currently watching - From (so good!), The Penguin (highly recommend!) and Tulsa King. Just getting started with Lower Decks (Yay!) and What we do in the Shadows. We've also just binged Vikings Valhalla (also excellent!) and I watched an older show called Kolchak... that one was even before my time but it was surprisingly excellent for a 70s show and is a part tv history that many of our fav shows owe credit. It was about a reporter investigating the supernatural, in a 'monster of the week' sort of way and you'll see it name dropped by the people who worked on shows like Supernatural and X-files as a direct inspiration. Also it stars Darren McGavin which is kind of surreal for me at least, watching the father from A Christmas Story staking vampires and fighting lizard people, (-8 (I like to think he's still playing the same character, just retired.)
Current fav drinks - Yorkshire black tea and Tata Chai, Yum!

I'm super enjoying the cold weather. ^_^ I can't stand the heat and can't sleep well when it's hot. Mr. Pooka calls my bedroom 'the icebox' because I tend to have my window open all year round, even during the winter. XD (Just a crack in the winter, enough to cool down the room since our apartment is very warm.)
