Fuyna suddenly found herself at the mercy of those with a quick enough nose to be pulled in by her fresh baked pastries. She hasn't much time to think to herself about any prices on these goods before she left earlier, as her shop and home are quite far from the park!, so her pale eyes nearly smiled at the burnt-red and white girl and the curly haired white and pink pierced girl approaching her. Her lips also gave a warm, welcoming grin to the pair. Quietly unbuckling her satchel to open it, a full wave of scent of honey, sugar, fresh bread, and other pastry smells is unleashed onto the crowd.
"Well," she clears her throat before speaking towards the red and white-patched girl, "Honey buns, of course. Sprinkled with some sugar and still fresh from my ovens back at my shop. Would you care for one?" She can't help but smirk widely at the compliments that the fellow female is trying to give her, "And you look like quite the feisty, sultry beaut' yourself. No need to compliment the baker, dear, I'm always willing to have some company." Funya winks playfully at Ishtar, not flirting but just being coy.
Motioning with her free paw towards the stunning, white and pink pierced Sphinx (Sheshet) for her to join the two of them, Funya grins her way as well. "Don't just stand waiting over there, see what pleases you." She gives the female a warm, but sly grin as she kept an almost protective stance around her now-opened satchel.

Zen eyes grew wide at how the cub was already bigger then him and grumbled before tilting his head side ways listening to Vadim trying to talk. As if understanding him Zen began to nod and mew back. Zen getting a little to excited let out a loud mew causing Fable to climb down from the tree and slowly make her way over to Zen and the two sphinxes.
As she quietly walked over to them she stopped keeping her distance as she realized it was a mother and her cub. She nods to the female. "Zen leave those two alone, I'm sure they don't have time for your silly antics" Zen huffed but mewed at the cub before walking over to Fable's side.
Fable looks to the female "sorry for bothering you, we shall be going now". Picking up Zen in her mouth she began to walk back over to the tree she laid in before.

Sheshet didn't wait for a second invitation. She slid forward gracefully, and peeked inside the bag, while trying to stay out of the way of the original customer.
All of the delicious smells and sights of the delicacies made her feel slightly dizzy for a moment, and she felt like a little girl in a candy shop. She took her time deciding, and finally pointed to a sugar sprinkled pastry that seemed to be filled with some sort of creme. Or fruit. Either one would please her.
"How much for this one?" she asked politely. Her paw tapped the small satchel she carried a few coins in (just a few, in case there were clever thieves about), and hoped she had brought enough.

When Dark smirks at her, Avery sticks out her tongue and makes a face at his back. Childish? yes...but it felt good! While looking around, she feels a tug on her tail. Looking back she sees her beloved Ebe. Smiling she flicks her tail playfully a few times, allowing the little cat to chase and pounce.
Nothing much seemed to be happening yet, sphinxes milling around, eating, talking. Sighing Avery put her head down on her paws and watched the foreign looking black sphinx with silver hair. She had never seen such a tail or ears! She didn't dare go out of the shade, not while nothing was happening. No need to go through that pain if it wasn't necessary!

Hearing the kitty meowing at him encouraged Vadim, but the sudden loud mew startled the cub enough to make him loose his precarious balance and land on his rump with a squeak. At this Mina lurched forward a hasty half step before stopping to eye the approaching blue female warily. So, the cat's owner had shown up. "Iss no bother. Did not know son had such love for cats. Iss good to know zhat."
A moment later Mina realized she was talking to herself as the stranger had already grabbed her cat at left, much to Vadim's dismay. The boy stared after Fable and Zen, eyes wide and sad as he waved clumsily. "-ye -ye ki-ie..."
Slightly taken aback at the abrupt departure Mina took a moment to recover herself, then scooped up Vadim and cuddled him, patting his cheek gently. "Don't be sad leetle darlink, ve'll find anozer kitty for you vun day." As he began to snuffle and mew sadly she looked around for something to distract him with. There was no point in hiding any longer; even if no one seemed to be paying them much attention they had surely been noticed by now, and hiding once more would only look bad.
Then the delightful scent of baked goods wafted over to her and she smiled. "You vant a sveet darlink? Let's go get somezink to eat." Yes, he was a bit young for solid foods, but she smelled honey mixed in with the baked goods. A scrap of cloth dipped in the sweet treat would occupy him for a time, and perhaps today he'd try a few crumbs of whatever she got for herself too. Tucking him back into his carry sack she headed over.
It seemed as though plenty of others had the same idea she thought as she approached Fuyna and the crowd around her. A seller with a crowd was always a good sign; it meant that they had good quality and were well liked. Well, a happy crowd such as this one did anyways. Prowling up behind the others, patting Vadim soothingly with her wing, Mina tried to peer over the heads of the other customers to see just what was on offer.

As the beautiful baker opened her bag of deliciously fresh delights, Ishtar nearly swooned at the scent of honey, her mouth watering and her eyes staring into the depths of the bag.
"Ah but complimenting the baker is always in order when she is a delightful as the goods she produces. How much would it be for one of those honey buns?"
Gula looked around trying to find her wayward mate, and spotted her with a look that could mean disaster if she was left alone with the object of her undivided attention, "Pardon me Phae'Shalee, I think someone is about to need rescuing from Ishtar."
Gula hurried around the fountain, her limp hampering speed, but she bustled as fast as she could, "Ishtar!"
Ishtar turned and beamed at her mate, "Gula this wondrous beauty has honey buns, I was just going to get one for you and me, don't they just smell divine? And we didn't eat before we came..."
Gula closed her eyes and counted to five in her head before saying anything, "Honey buns, I see. You should have said something, I was speaking to you and you weren't there."
Ishtar moved closer and butted her head against her mate, "Don't sound so sour dear, I'm sorry, forgive me for being an air head?"
Gula wisely kept her mouth shut, and attempted not to smile at her mate, but goodness was being the stern one hard around someone who was so innocently sweet.

Today was the day that Saphira would find a playmate. Or at least perhaps a kitty. Currently he had been following Shi'ka but the male was off somewhere. So Saph decided he would explore on his own. He saw a couple of Sphinxes ahead and wondered what was going on. Being the curious one he stayed in the shadows, following them till he could hear the others. He saw one called Dark and he smiled. People he knew! He looked at the female and tilted his head. She was new to him. Reminded him of Masika a little bit. Shaking his head he turned to dark. He always had fun watching Dark and Shi'ka talk to each other and banter back and forth. Right now he wanted to mess with the older adult male since he couldnt mess with Shi'ka. And he did like learning from Dark even if he might get hurt every now and then. He moved forward and lept into the air, hoping to land on darks back. HIs claws sheathed however.

Eraiya had watched the happenings from affar and was a little sad of how abruptly the little fox colored cat was torn away from the small cub. Calmly she watched the scene and seeing how his mother lovingly scooped up the young one she eased once again. She was quickly convinced he was in good paws. Following their path towards the baker, she sniffed the scent of the freshly baked goods in the air. That surely smelled tasty, and prickled the fox's curiousity. A honey treated pastry would surely taste nice right now. If not that, the company the grey colored baker was pulling did seem rather interesting and bustling. Eraiya pondered the idea, but then lightly shook her head considering it might be better to stay aside a bit longer. Something ... was odd around. She looked up at the sky, watching the sun while half covering her eyes with her paw. "Late" She whispered softly under her breath.

((OOC: Darn, I somehow said the wrong sphinx that Phae was speaking to, sorry about that.))
Phae'Shalee beamed at Gula and was about to say something about how her whole family was flighty, so it was okay.. but the colourful sphinx had excused herself to go chasing after her mate. Phae sat back again, huffing a puff of air to make the loose locks in her face move to the side.
The movements of the white and red fox sphinx caught Phae's attention for a moment. The fox-like sphinx had seemed as if she was about to approach but had changed her mind. Phae'Shalee's eyes widened when she spied the strange looking sphinx and was nearly about to blurt out something to her about how interesting and fluffy she looked when she was interrupted by the events in the park.
((OOC Edited Phae's response because I was too slow and things changed. ^^; ))
Within view of the fountain, to the side of the park was a great playground for sphinxes of all ages. It consisted of imported, sculpted and shaped rocks of varying sizes, and many lovely large wooden trunks of trees that were crafted to jut out and criss-cross between the rocks like some wonderful, huge, cat stomping ground. At the top of this large play area of stone and wood was an artificially carved out small cave for the feline sphinxes to lay away from the sun. On top of this entire set a figure came into view, one who must have climbed up from behind. The figure could barely be seen, and nearly no details could be made out from the sun in the sky positioned perfectly behind the sphinx to shadow in it's details, making it hard to look up directly at whoever it was. The hint of a large hooded cloak flapped a bit in the gathering breeze.
"I am pleased that so many citizens of Ahket have shown an interest in the future of their homeland." the figured called out to the sphinxes below, the voice was raspy, as if the sphinx possibly had a sore throat. "Khemet is in the dawn of a war. Hostilities that have thus far stayed civil are preparing to turn to violence. The throne is empty and there is unrest all due to one fact... the Pharaoh never declared his royal heir."
The figure paused for a moment, waiting to ensure that those near were listening before the speech continued.
"I have searched for a means to bring an end to this seemingly inevitable conflict, and believe that I may have found a solution, but it will take sphinxes of great heart and courage to seek this out."
"There is a legend that in ages past, when the conflict occured between Osiris and his brother Set, when Osiris eventually returned to the Duat to claim his place as god of the dead, he left behind the symbols of his station... the crook and flail. Pharaohs in generations after would wield a crook and flail in honor of Osiris, but the whereabouts of the true, original symbols of the Pharaoh have long fallen into obscurity. It is said that when the throne of Khemet is empty that the Royal Symbols of Osiris would choose a new Pharaoh, one that could not be disputed due to the will of the first Pharaoh choosing the subject."
Again there was a pause, to let those listening take in what was said.

Calmly Eraiya glanced up at the concealed figure and listened to its words. She didnt show much of her own toughts about the matter, and instead watched how the rest responded once its speech was done. "Seems the elemeants have finaly shifted" She whispered quietly to herself with a warm and peculiar smile. She gave of an air of mystery behind that face. What is this Fox-sphinx thinking? Only she knows.

Oh holy night, her crowd is only growing now! Thank the great sun that she was wise enough to bake enough to feed a small crowd. She had a feeling she was going to need to. Heh, and she didn't even need to advertise! Oh, the wonders of pastries, they attract beauties and customers with merely their smell!
The first one to take quick action on taking her invitation to check her wares, Sheshet, sends a wide grin on Funya's lips as she notices the wonderful piercing down the fellow girl's back. "Gorgeous piercing work you've got there, m'lady." She nods graciously with her grin still intact. With the question of payment, Funya pauses for a second as she realizes she didn't plan that out earlier. Oh my.. well, today's a special gathering, no?
"Hm, as for prices.. Well, for today only, as it is a special day it seems, your first pastry is free for each customer. All subsequent pastries will have a cost, but I keep my prices somewhat low." Knowing that now all peasants and goers to this park are exactly money-loaded, she thought it would be nice to do something like this, for today at least. This week had been a good time in her normal sales that she could survive giving some pastries free.
Funya's paw gently scoops up the sugar-sprinkled pastry with a grin before handing it to Sheshet, "Do enjoy, m'lady." A light bow of her head to the woman before turning her attention to her now four other customers, especially the pair of Ishtar and Gula. "Would you two be interested in said honey buns? They are fresh from just this morning." She kept her smile polite with hints of slyness in there. Those two made a cute couple.
The pale eyes look towards the Gypsy and her cute cub, causing her smile to grow more warm and soft. Daww. A mama and her child. "Come on over and see if you find something you like."
Her attention was drawn away from her customers though, as the concealed figure spoke out. What is the meaning of this?

Avery's brow arched in curiosity as she listened to the cloaked figure. Before she knew it, she was standing and bounding down the rocks she lay on and over toward the new comer. Uncaring about the sun now that her curiosity was pricked.

Seger who once again was lounging on her stomach, felt slightly drowsy. No, it was still morning, but the increasing heat of the day bored into her back, basking her wings. She flexed them a little, hearing the familiar faint sound of brass rubbing against each other. I'll have to oil that later, she thought, with a frown.
Seger, feeling slightly bored, twirled her paws around until small streaks of magic swirled around. From her peripheral vision, she saw a pretty red and purpley Fox look absently around. When she muttered something, Seger's intrigue upped a notch.
Until her attention was diverted to a certain tri-colored cub, whom decided to make a plaything out of the great-looking male next to her. "I see you have a fan." She chuckled, quirking her eyebrows in amusement. "Are you not scared of him, little child?"
ETA: {{OOC: Will need to edit that part in))
Seger was hoping for an answer when a concealed figure emerged. His... as she assumed it was a male. His rasping voice sent little shivers down her back, despite the warmth all around.
At least things were getting interesting now, she thought. And inwardly, she mused that he didn't die. But by the current looks of the cloaked figure, the notion wouldn't strike as bazar either.
Nodding, Seger stayed silent. Taking in little bits of the information, calculating it for any meaning other than the apparent.

Before Mina could get a good look at the baked treats being offered a raspy voice boomed out over the gathering. Tilting her head Mina looked over, eyes narrowed against the sun that glowed behind the mysterious figure as it delivered the message they had all come to hear. Her long, spiked tail swished and she tilted her head as she considered the message. Then she shrugged. She new little of the myths of this place and doubted that one such as she, a foreigner who did not worship these gods, had any place seeking such a relic. Not that that would stop her if she decided that the idea was interesting enough. But for now, she heard nothing that was enough to draw her away from getting a treat for her restless boy. Provided of course that the baker was still doing business after that pronouncement. Hopefully after the two already picking out treats were done Fuyna would still sell to one more.
((Edited to add a bit more since Hybrid posted while I was typing.))
Mina smiled as the baker called her over, even though moments later she was distracted by the mystery Sphinx on the rocks. Well, more time to choose her treat. Her nose twitched as she examined the offerings, but she already knew what she wanted. "Oh yes, ve vill haff honey cake. Smells so very good. Could be possible to get extra touch uff honey for leetle vun? Iss small, not yet eatink much solids. But does like hees honey." She smiled fondly over her shoulder at Vadim as she spun a coin into her paw.

Korrina had been read the flyer posted on a wall near her rooms by her newest and closest friend here and the two had decided to attend the park - just to see what was going on. Korrina's reasons having to do with her task of observing and serving the various denizens of Khemet and Nefer's because she was nosy and ambitious. The two were giggling to themselves and pointing out different things about others as they wandered into a shaded corner of the yard. Korrina being the first to take a seat with a soft huff, "It is always so hard around here! Even in your morning the sun scorches my face and the sand my paws." She'd lift one large paw to peer at the pads underneath as if she would see the black marks there. While Nefer, also a panting a little from the heat took up seat beside her friend, she'd laugh it off. "Is not your place of birth just has hot at mid-day? It's why I often nap you know.. to avoid the worst of the heat." She turned to inspect Korrina's upturned paw and pushed her shoulder to shoulder gently. "You're such a goose. You know well the heat of the day will abate soon. And it is a normal meeting place of others." She looked up and around from Korr's paw and took note of various things then sighed. Seemed there was no sign of the Queens nor their sons, but still. Anything to do with the royalty made her curious. There was no better way to learn more and maybe.. just maybe earn attention than to be front and center on these kinds of things. She turned back to Korr and purred," Now hush and watch. We must find out the stories of as many others around us before too long. And then maybe we can head for a cool treat later.. and spa for your paws." Again the femme laughed and leaning slightly against her companion looked around them and listened. Ears twitching this way and that for snippets of conversation and possible hints. Korrina, for her part, played the hurt party and pouted ever so prettily at Nefer before the infectious laughter caught her up again and she joined in the watching. Murmuring only once to Nefer, "A very good spa trip then.." casting her eyes around and rather enjoying the cooler shade. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Nefer's ears perked and her head turned so she could watch the cloaked figure who shouted out to the group en-mass. She was personally VERY interested in the naming of a new pharaoh and the stabilization of Khemet, but she'd not said anything to Korrina about it. She was not yet sure where Korrina's allegiance lay and to admit her own reasons would possibly lose her a fun companion. While Korrina, too, looked toward the figure and listened as well. A mystery and possibly a trip out of the city! She part revealed in the idea and part hated it. It would mean less shade, no water unless she carried it and worst yet.. hotter sand on her poor paws... ((Edited to include their responses to the goings on.))
