((OOC Gah, sorry for forgetting to respond to this, I was multi-tasking like crazy. O.o ))
Phae'Shalee flicked her long, fluff tipped ear at Nefer. "Well, if there was a library they may have information about your city... perhaps some notes about history, or maps of the area. Something there may give a hint on what could have happened to some old artifacts. You know.. research." she beamed, her voice nearly had a musical lilt to it when she spoke.
"Oh! Hello there Adjo, I"m Phae'Shalee.. but most people just call me Phae." she smiled so brightly that it made her cheeks apple and her eyes nearly squint shut. He gave his occupation as well, hurm.. she wasn't sure if the locals would understand what she did. "I'm... um... a Holy Liberator, ah, a holy warrior for my goddess." There, that should explain enough, she was warned not to say too much to the locals about her background. She grinned, hoping that it would be enough to keep anybody hearing her from asking more. She didn't like to lie, and was pretty bad at it, even if her husband was a master of deception.. erm.. when he wanted to be.

Saphira giggled as he nuzzled into Darks neck. He turned to look at the female that spoke. "I would be scared of him if i thought for a moment he had a assignment to kill me. As i have done nothing that would bring me to his attention in that regard i am not scared." He grined as he looked at the knife on Darks back. He grined more at the male after being told not to play with it. "You should know by now i play with things you tell me not to." He luaghed softly before rolling onto his back and just laying on Dark.
His ears tilted a bit as he listened to the figure speak. He did not care to much for what was going on though a adventure was always fun. As Dark Asked if he was comming he nodded, moving so that he could perch on the males head and stay on without hurting the male."Lead on my fine winged friend." So his vocabulary was getting bigger to. He still enjoyed Darks company. He wished to one day grow up like the assasin.

"You don't look pitiful at all, but it is easier to talk when one is not walking."
This made Korrina laugh, and she didn't hide the sound in a soft giggle, but was rather loud with it - showing true enjoyment of his comment. It was true enough, she supposed but having lead the pampered life from a young age, she couldn't have said yes or not either way. Instead she'd nod and concede to him that he was right. "Indeed. It is simpler to speak when one is seated than walking. Though, not as much fun as speech and flying- yes?"
Her comments were softly made and by no means meant to offend. Rather, she was agreeing with the Egyptian male and then fell silent to listen to his further comments.
"It is the first occasion I've heard of where there was no official heir to the throne. Though I believe there have been times in the past when there was a question of legitimate succession,"
"Thank you. It is true, few of us are winged, and most of those who are - like myself - have foreign blood in our veins."
She'd nod and sigh, "That is too true. But often, I believe that it is our gods that decide who is the true ruler and is it not through your gods... the falcon one I believe, that you find your pharaohs? Is the pharaoh not the embodied one of him?" She mused this briefly then responded to his question, coloring a little at the praise for her use of their language.
"It is unusual, too, to meet a Greek who speaks Khemetic so well. Have you lived here long?"
"It is my turn to thank you. You are correct that finding those of us from other places find it.. difficult to learn your tongue. But I was raised to travel to different places and so had it hammered into my mind from a young age. Although.." She'd lift one paw and motion to a fluttering page nearby, indicating the symbols upon it, "I can not so easily read your writing. But, I learn bits at a time. As for how long I've been here?"
She paused for breath and to ponder before nodding,"Just over a year and in between my moving about to other places. My position forces a lot of travel - but at the same time it is a perk." Her wings flexed a little on her back and she turned from him to spy on Thaddeus across the yard once more then toward her friend and others as they moved off.
Many seemed to have ideas of places to search and well.. maybe she could help too? She turned back to the male and after a glance toward Thad was again made she'd say,"As to the matter at hand.. What would be your idea of a good place to search? And would you possibly allow me to accompany you in a little search of these places?"
She'd smile and wait, twitching her tail behind her and half listening for Thad's voice. She wasn't trying to be rude but sometimes it was hard to ignore that male - even from a distance and when he was so clearly enjoying the company of other females. Humph.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Nefer was nearly stepped upon as an eager male came bounding up and also spoke to the black and silvery lady. Her brows furrowed a little and she'd give off a soft huff at the rudeness of the male before turning her attention back to Phae.
Indeed, they both had a good point and she blinked and wondered why she was being so dense today! Of course a library would have something written down about the myth-er apparently true story. But the question was which.
She listened to their exchange and even managed to return Phae's huge smiles before nodding toward the male at his introduction and purring,"You are pardoned for nearly trampling me, Adjo. My name is Neferirkare. But I find it simpler to allow others to call me Nefer.. but never Nef." She'd give him a softer smile and ease back into her happier self now that ruffled fur was calmed over the minor slip.
She'd wait to hear the female's name in response before saying,"Since you were asking after the libraries.. and I think we have one really large one, would you both like to journey there with me? Or ..."
She'd trail off and wait to see their reactions before continuing. Various others were splitting off and searching and it made Nefer antsy to get going herself. She had a plan and hopes in this.. if it was true! Oh the boost it could bring..

((OOC notes again)) When Silent-Moon mentioned 'toothy' the ivory cat 'tooth' poked it's head out to see what was happening, and came to Silent's call. ~*~ When Nightfeathers mentioned 'dancing' the happy, nimble cat capered and pranced it's way to her. ~*~ When Jeanstarwind mentioned the word 'angry' a hissing of a cat could be heard, and the glaring, angry, vicious cat with the name of 'anger' walked, out claws digging into the ground and an angry 'murrr' in his throat.

Thaddeus sat for a moment. It wasn’t like him to just sit, and to be honest it was quite awkward being surrounded like he was.
Gently he gave a parting nod to the other soldier, and to the blue female and sauntered across the park. He flicked his tail conspicuously, and headed for the Temple of Osiris. He wasn’t sure that others would follow, but it also wasn’t like him to be such a leader to those he did not command.
((Thaddeus has now left the thread))

Sheshet sat and watched for several minutes, but no other figures from the heaven above deigned to speak to those on the earth below. She considered what to do. Randomly picking a direction to wander, she paced around the fountain, catching snippets of conversations here and there. Seemed everyone was just as lost as she was what to do next. Well... almost everyone.
There, a few spoke of attempting the library, but Sheshet turned her nose at the idea. Pouring over scrolls sounded like a completely boring waste of time. She was not a fast reader either. Surely she would be better off helping somewhere else.
This way, she caught the mention of a tavern. Hmmmm, now that definitely had possibilities. Taverns were wealths of odd information, seemingly random bits of trivia that could be linked together to form valuable information, if one were patient enough. Plus, she had experience wheedling information out of tavern keeps and the like. Just turn on her charming smile, and she could win wealths of information. Or so she hoped.
Another place she hadn't yet considered was heading back to the palace. Surely if anyone knew about legendary artifacts related to the kings, queens, and pharaohs, they would be at the palace. Oh, Sheshet didn't think she could speak to any of the royals directly, but she had been a servant at the palace for some time now, and could easily sneak through the ranks of the mostly ignored and forgotten. Servants were known to harbor bits of information about the royals they served. Sheshet had even collected her own about her mistress. She didn't usually associate with the servants of the really important sphinxes, but that didn't mean she couldn't.
Sheshet paced near the fountain a few more minutes, trying to decide what to do. The benefit of going to the tavern is that she would likely have the companionship of others to help solve the mystery. If she went to the palace, likely it would be by herself. She needed to make up her mind quickly though, she knew. She would be of no use to anyone if she stayed here in the park.

((OOC: I'm going SUPER slow because I'm not only replying to all of the different rps in the different places, but making new places by request, searching old threads for descriptons of places mentioned in the rps before, searching for stray cat names... and about to have my brain short circut from too much multi-tasking. O.o Sooo... it may be a bit before I get to each section for the rp, but I'll get there. ^_^ )

"I'll keep that in mind." Dark couldn't help himself laughing. The kit was a pain sometimes but he had his good points. Enough that the vampire didn't mind having a cub sitting on his back which was quite the feat.
"If you're gonna be up there I warn you now, you better hang on. I tend to look down a lot." He frowned, but only briefly. "I'm not in the habit of wearing cub hats. And the knife is very sharp, otherwise it'd be useless. I smell blood I make no promises on what happens."
He shook his head slightly, his eyes giving a roll. This cub was one weird guy. Still he had a lot of spirit. Dark got a running start and lept into the air, it being a less crowded way to travel to the library.
(OOC Yay! *cuddles kitty* And I love Jeans too. XD )

{{OOC: Congrats to new cat owners!}} "But often, I believe that it is our gods that decide who is the true ruler and is it not through your gods... the falcon one I believe, that you find your pharaohs? Is the pharaoh not the embodied one of him?" "It is true, one of Pharaoh's titles is 'The Living Horus,' " Ankhu replied. "But such a title reflects the expectation that its holder officiated at the burial rites of his predecessor. It is more than simply being the embodiment of divine Horus; he must act towards his predecessor as Horus did to his father Osiris."
The scribe pondered this for a moment. "The stranger spoke of a crook and flail belonging to Osiris. Perhaps we ought to start by searching the temple of Osiris?"

((OOC: It's perfectly fine Jean, this is the current 'home base' but a sphinx doesn't really need to start here. ^_^))
Phae couldn't help but beam and grin even larger when Nefer smiled back just as large. She had to resist the nearly overwhelming urge to just hug her... she so loved to hug. It may be seen as inappropriate in this city though.
"Yes, lets all go to the library." Phae half sang more then said the words to Nefer and Adjo, nearly as if she was ready to break into some pre-written song about libraries.

Adjo couldn't help but respond to Phae's large and sincere grin with a smile of his own. He hadn't the slightest idea what a Holy Liberator was, but some foreign countries had so many strange gods it was nearly impossible to learn or know of all of them. He wondered how he might ask her more about where she came from, without seeming inappropriate and nosy. He nodded in response to Phae and gestured to both ladies. "I would be honored to accompany you both to the great Library of Ahket." ((OOC: Thanks Pooka! I was thinking of bringing Bakari or Akil into the Tavern maybe. I'm off for the night, so you and Toxi can just assume that Adjo goes along with Nefer and Phae to the library. ))

Nefer gave a single nod and smiled more at this. Part of her felt bad about leaving Korrina behind, but really. She couldn't let the other get into trouble, not over this right? She'd turn to look over her shoulder at her friend and the scribe male she'd left her with - making sure all was well before coming back and saying,"Wonderful! Let us travel to the library then and hopefully a step closer to proving or disproving this story!" Inwardly, she'd hope that it was true. No body wanted a blood bath in their homes and it would affect more than just the queens and their sons. It could destroy their culture. Something that Nefer feared most. She'd step forward and nod to a pathway out of the park and move off, believing the other two would be walking beside her toward the library. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- "The stranger spoke of a crook and flail belonging to Osiris. Perhaps we ought to start by searching the temple of Osiris?"Korrina had listened to his comments about the pharaohs and their gods, making mental notes of things to speak with her personal scribe about later. She was not able to write herself, but she had a friend who was helping her keep track of things in her native tongue and that of Khemet. Also the very same who was teaching her their symbols. But this she did not comment on. Instead she'd nod and brighten at his mentioning a temple to search and especially so as that fit in with her ideas most beautifully! "I completely agree with you on that idea! I was thinking perhaps searching that temple and one other.. but I'll tell you more as we go." Her eyes wandered to where Thaddeus had been before, looking to see him once more before she left but he was gone! She felt that twinge of sorrow in her heart and she brushed it brutally away with a thought. Flight would help. Korrina turned to her scribe companion and spoke while extending her massive wings,"Lead the way? I think taking to the air will be fastest..but you should show me which temple we're to search!" Her eyes fairly sparkled as she stretched and readied herself. The sheer expanse of her wings forcing a few others to either skirt around them further or move out of the way as she crouched and readied for lift off. An unorthodox method of flight, but her wing-span was such that with a bit more effort she'd easily get into the sky out of force of will. And once her companion took to the air, she'd do the same. Flapping her large wings a couple times, creating flurries of dust and sand against others around then crouching so low the floor touched her tunic before she sprang upwards with all her might. It would be difficult but she'd be able to meet him in the air and follow where ever he'd lead.. ((Not trying to control your character Spring, just allowing you to make the exit here faster and to the temple. ^^))
