Hey guys!
With the yearly festival less then a month away I thought we could use a chat thread to get people back onto the forums and poking around. ^_^ Spread the word!
What we've been up to since last spring... well, mostly roleplaying.... lots and lots of roleplaying.
Speaking of which, I do plan to try and get the second half of the RP from last year going during the festival this year. It grew bigger then intended and I was so burnt out by the end of the Heb last year that I just couldn't look at it or pull up the energy to run anything fun. I'm trying to decide if it should be a 'what happened a year ago' RP, or having something happen to skip the characters ahead in time(maybe Ranquillane my time warden helps? I'd need to think of a good reason why though.)
We have something fun and different planned for this year, and have already been working hard at preparing for it. There is one huge surprise that I'm really excited about.
We also changed our hoster over to smugmug... so don't panic if your sphinxes disappear, we already have them all uploaded (along with your pets and items) onto smugmug.

Yes, I am so excited, oh man could I use some positive Heb energy to perk me right up! ;w;
Me and Cryptic have had a rough couple of months, at the end of January Evie, my bull breed dog, slipped a disk in her spine. We rushed her to the ER for discomfort, were told she probably just pulled a muscle, but by morning, her hind legs were paralyzed. So we were sent to a specialist in Louisville, the bigger city about an hour away from us, where she immediately went into massive (and expensive) spinal surgery, but luckily my girl's a trooper and everything went well (she was actually ready go to home within, like, a day after the surgery, which was huge), though her recovery has been extremely high-maintenance because she was unable to walk on her own for the first few weeks. So we've been busy, busy bees getting my girl back on her feet, but she's doing extremely well and is almost in the clear. She's able to walk and hold herself up now, her legs are just still a little weak. But I'm super proud of her. ^_^
This all came about pretty much RIGHT after we had welcomed a new puppy into the household, because I had no idea Evie was going to pull this on me, so uh, life has been interesting and chaotic. xD The puppy's a good boy, though, we named him Pazuzu and he's an Aussie from the same breeder as my older Aussie, Astaroth, and is actually his biological nephew!
I had also brought home some new baby rats recently too, but at least those are low-maintenance, haha. Never underestimate your pet's ability to stress you out and cause you financial stress! But I love them too much to be terribly bothered. X3
I hope all of you guys have been well! I'm so excited and ready to hang out with you all in Heb, so for now I am totally down for this chatter thread. *plops* I just cannot waaaaait, aaaaaaah!!!
