I think we're a couple seasons behind on Vikings... but we have seen some of the absolute best tv lately! (by lately I guess over the last year?)
for viking fans I'd recommend checking out the comedy version, Norsemen. there is two seasons and another one the way. Its got a kind of dry humor but I loved it!
for a scary/thriller I'd recommend The Haunting of Hill House. This one is absolutely amazing and a good chance you'd want to watch it through a second time.
for pure comedy I'd recommend Trial and Error. Its got a sillier Parks and Rec vibe. The Guest Book is also a really great anthology sort of comedy. There is a couple of good ones that got cancelled but there is enough for a good watch; Great News (the first couple episodes are awful but it finds its stride) and LA to Vegas. Both are hilarious!
Two last comedies, Corporate and What We do in the Shadows. Corporate is a bit darker/offbeat and WWDITS is way more off the wall but you'll either love it or hate them. I super love it!
I prob don't have to mention Brooklyn Nine Nine or the new seasons of Will and Grace but they are both a treat.
OH and I already mentioned the Tick of course, (-8 This has been the absolute best Tick show ever!
*pauses to brainstorm some more, gets distracted by another Pooka awesome*

Remy: Do I owe you money? Logan: No Remy: Then Remy LeBeau I am. *shivers* Mmph...Taylor Kitch was the RIGHT actor for that role, just like Hugh Jackman was AWESOME as Wolverine

I haven't seen any of the comic book based movies since they jacked up the original X-Men movie. I still haven't forgiven them for that. So no Avengers, Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, or even Guardians of the Galaxy.

Oh man I got to see What We Do In The Shadows with some friends before Taika Waititi got involved with the Marvel stuff and then he was announced over there and was all surprised. He's the main reason I'm curious about looking into Thor: Ragnarok at all, his art overall seems super cool!

*sips coffee and catches up*
I’ll have to check out those comedies, Mr. Pooka! I definitely love parks and rec. Literally my favorite recent comedy series. Norsemen also intrigues me.
I’d really like to see endgame, but there I go wanting to watch the final episode before the rest of the storyline. I figured out back in Thor Ragnarok that all the marvel movies are connected and since that enlightened discovery when I’ve caught other marvel moves on they’ve made a bit more sense. Was never a comic book person so I’m definitely classified as a newb in the realm of comics and such.

...yes. I was much confuzzled when watching some of the marvel movies in march when I realized that they were sort of out of order. You kind of put the pieces together with every one you watch.
I did see the prequel to endgame with my fiancé awhile ago (what was it called? Infinity stones?). I...definitely want to see what happens after that monster of a cliffhanger o.@

Hubby and I both grew up being Marvel fans and reading the comics. I used to particularly love Ghost Rider and Spiderman when little and my older brother would read comics to me while really young (pre-school) before I could read myself. So we watch every Marvel movie that comes out. (Well, sorta. I refuse to watch the Fantastic 4 movie because it's supposed to be SO bad. It would just be a waste of time.) We've loved some, hated some, just forgot some all together that were 'meh'. But all in all have loved the decade of super hero movies. ^_^
Now the DC movies, I found all of them, except for Wonder Woman and Aquaman, to be boring and forgettable. BUT, Wonder Woman was so so good that it actually replaced my favourite movie, the original 'Planet of the Apes'. That's no small feat.
I still can't believe that they somehow made Aquaman really good. O.o I mean, he's typically the joke of the DC universe.
(ETA) BTW, my favourite Marvel characters haven't been in any of the movies, save one character. Kitty Pride (she was finally in the movies), Lockheed (a small purple alien dragon, Kitty's sidekick) and Meghan (a faerie shapeshifter from Britian). I think my favourite marvel comics were EXcalibur (based in Britian) and EXiles.
EXiles is really good and has a great concept. It's different characters from different marvel dimensions pulled together to dimensional hop and save varying worlds. There are characters from the 'What if?' comics, and some that are created just for the comic. Such as a male Mystique, and Nocturne (Talia Wagner) who is Nightcrawler and Scarlet Witch's daughter from an alternate dimension. In that series I really came to adore Mimic, who was the character killed off in very early X-Men. He can mimic other's powers and was really, really cool! Blink was also one of the main characters, she's been in 'the Gifted' and is also pretty darned cool in the comic.

I think Shazam is a bit more of a joke in DC than aquaman, I mean shazam's nickname is the big red cheese

Oh goodness, fantastic 4. That..was hard to watch. The second one was 'slightly' better but still >< IMHO.
I found Dr. Strange, Ant man and Iron man to be amusing and interesting. it may just be the characters.
Thor as well, to a point. I didn't really like the first one but the others were fine. Particularly after I saw the connections with the other movies.
