dose it have to be a wreath you made recently? I have a pic of one I made as a gift a few years ago, would that count? and would it need to have your username in the picture? nope, as long as you made it, no time limit, (-8 ...and no need for usernames either, that's cool! (I mean you can if you want to of course! ...but say you had a fun pic of a wreath you made as a kid and wanted to show it that's cool too!) I trust you guys and depending on how you celebrate the holidays, Santa, Krampus, Odin or the Yule Gods and spirits of your choice are watching, (-8

*eye's Pooka's awesome Yule project...*
I don't think I've made a wreath in a long time! We've got a few other Yule crafts about but not a wreath specifically... maybe I'll see if I get a chance when we head into the woods, that would be a cool project, (-8

Whoopsy! We were at Dollywood all yesterday and I forgot to check on the Yule day when we got back. Those wreaths are adorable! Good luck to everyone who entered.

Okay, I'm having a lovely morning. SO I have a question for everyone.
What is 1 thing you've made or purchased for use in the last year that you are just thrilled to bits with?
For me, it's a recent purchase but also something I've loved SO MUCH that I can't wait to gift it to my mom and sister. XD
So, I'm not a HUGE coffee drinker, but I do enjoy a latte every now and then. And I've been watching a lot of people who do 'Amazon Haul' videos on YouTube. 1 for personal research, 2 for ideas, and 3 as a way to mindlessly pass the time while I clean but I can listen to their personal reviews on several items at once.
WELL all of that was to preface this next one. So many ladies suggested a milk foamer to make lattes at home and save on the costs of Starbucks. My mom, I love her so much, hates spending tons of money on coffee from Starbucks because it's not as strong as the brews she makes at home. But she also likes to not worry about it and it's sort of a treat. But I digress. Since she makes coffee for EVERYONE in her household on the daily basis, I just wondered if this item would be useful to her. So I purchased a version of a milk foamer/warmer that had four functions. 2 warming/frothing versions (variety in density), 1 simply milk warmer, and 1 COLD milk frother.
OMGOODNESS people. It's been the BEST thing. My mom loves to make iced coffee drinks in the summer, which is why I chose this version, and I'm just SO THRILLED with the results of this thing. I made myself a 'latte' this morning in the same time it normally takes me to make my normal boring coffee. I LOVE IT. and all this is just to say I'm excited to gift one to my mom. XD
So, anyone else?

You know, I used to work at a specialty coffee place and there was this interesting recipe they would do with the milk foamer on the espresso maker. I'm trying to remember exactly what it was, but it was some sort of honey-like syrup that was poured down through the center of the foamed milk. I wish that I could remember exactly what it was to let you know how to do it, but that was like, over 20 years ago. >.<
For me, um... I'm not sure. I've made a lot of art this year that I was happy with, so that may count? I don't know.
Just recently on black friday I bought a nintendo switch. I'm still just starting to use it but love it already. <3 I've been playing 'Let's Go Eevee' and having fun. I have pokemon sword ready to go, but wanted to get through Eevee first. Although I may have to put that game on pause part way through just because I'm so excited about sword. lol

Whoops! I too totally spaced the wreaths. Although in thinking on it now, I don’t believe I have ever actually made a wreath. Maybe in elementary school for some project I don’t remember. XD You know, I used to work at a specialty coffee place and there was this interesting recipe they would do with the milk foamer on the espresso maker. They called it a red symphony. Seriously the best drink of my life! It was made with a specific tea, espresso, honey, and topped with the foam and cinnamon. I’m drooling now thinking of it! Unfortunately they discontinued it when the tea company went out of business. 😭 Recently I purchased a pop up camper! Super excited to spend the winter refurbishing it and then taking it into the mountains next season. 💜

I would argue making art counts! And ooo a Switch! I'll have to share my friend code with you when you get moved onto Sword. Hehe. <3 I've been slowly playing my way through Sword as well. And by slowly I mean I've got ... like 60+ hours in the game and JUST recently started on the gyms. Though.. years of Pokemon gaming have left me with being fairly good at the gym game. xD Also, you made a sort of 'wreath' Cameron two years back for uhm.. Beltane? Though it was more spring and less Christmas/Yule. But.. yea! And a pop-up. Like the little pup tents or one of those you use with a truck? And yes, that is exciting! As for adding things to my milk as it's working, I'm not sure if this machine is made for it. Because of how the top is. BUT .. interesting idea. MUAHAHAHAH. I seriously am just excited to gift it to my mom. XD I'm a nerd. I know.

Good morn.. dang! close... good afternoon!
Neat question Toxi! All the things I've purchased that come close are kitchen items... two of them I don't think I'll count because they were essential and I only bought them because I had to (my shiny stove top kettle-because my other 30 year old one sprung a leak, and my shiny new 4 slice toaster (which still gets me excited lol, making 4 pieces of toast at once!) because our ancient toaster oven died...). That leaves me with my number one choice, (-8 The only thing I actually bought for myself all year, just for me because I wanted it, not because I needed it, was my Instant Pot. I always wanted a pressure cooker and this does a bunch more things too, (-8 I was kind of in a cooking rut for a bit... normally I just love cooking but somehow, idk, explaining a cooking rut is like trying to explain writers block, just some invisible something that blocks your creativity and enthusiasm... so I ordered my Instant Pot and I don't know why exactly but learning new techniques for cooking things and searching out new types of recipes just felt awesome and got be all excited! ...it totally broke the block and I was (and am!) happily cooking and baking, (-8
Things I've made that make me the happiest? Hummm, I'd have to think about that one, (-8 I have a folder of Sphinxy stuff that I'm in love with but still working on... individual pieces make me squee but I sort of think of it as a whole and it's not quite complete... so I'd go with my canning shelf! Over a couple of days I made my pickles, picked beets and carrots, relish (beet and cabbage), apple butter and apple jelly! It truly makes me happy and satisfied every time I do so much canning and put up delicious food for the future! I really should have taken a picture, (-8 I remember how nice the counter looked with all the colourful jars and being the fall, I'd also picked up about a dozen various squashes from some local markets and they made the perfect backdrop, (-8 I'll be snacking on frugally sourced, gourmet yummy-ness that is better than anything you can buy in a store (and most of it you can't, at least around here!) for a year or two, (-8 As an extra joy credit, this is the first year I've made apple jelly since I made it as a kid with my mom... it was made with just apple scraps (peels and cores) which makes it super frugal, which is something my mom loved, and besides being practical and delicious it comes packed with good family memories, (-8
...extra bonus round... I'll add something I was given that makes me wildly happy! If anyone read my character bio about Zeb you'll note that he is a monster trainer who uses Japanese Gatchapon as his (thinly veiled, totally not pokeballs) training storage medium and he his a big collector. I got a handful of the most delightful Gatchapon monsters strait from Japan from some lovely friends who have not left my desk and I love them so much, (-8 Besides being sweet and thoughtful they will totally work right into our RP and add an extra level or roleplaying awesomeness to the Yamasugi Outlaw game!
