It's nearly that time of year again!!I figured that we could use a thread to chat in while we're waiting for the Heb. I've already been working on it, and this is going to be a big job for me this year, but totally worth it. I did have a mini-event planned for February but it kinda crashed when we realized that it would burn me out too much before the Heb with all of the work that needs to be done this year. So we skipped it. I pretty much have everything ready for it too, maybe we can find a way to fit it in with this years Heb? I'm not sure if the themes would work together at all. It's so so difficult sitting on a project that you really want to reveal, and it's been around a year since I started on this! Just off and on in little bits, not a full year of hard work on it. Heh. I just realized how that sounded. But it's still a year of looking at my project and not being able to show it to anybody. Anyhow, I have a giant list to try and get through for the Heb and it's already looking great, if I do say so myself. ^_^ So, what have you guys been up to?

Working, working, and working XD I'm close to my one year mark of working for Wendy's. March 21st will be a year. So close already? It's hectic, even more so now that we've started breakfast. Not fun because it's a pain to try and transition from breakfast to lunch and feel unprepared even more now. We also seem to get slammed so hard on Saturdays. I'm glad I only work one day of the weekend, but still...ouch.
Other than that I'm doing good. Looking forward to the Heb, can't wait to see what comes!

I'm not sure if the themes would work together at all. Could use those pesky little portals to your advantage and do a mini sidetrack adventure though! Cam's not been up to much other than working and the general living. We did go ice fishing over this last weekend in Utah! It was a total blast. I'd definitely recommend for anyone who doesn't have an aversion to colder weather. Caught my second fish ever. I actually forgot to count the amount overall, but I was pretty satisfied with my haul. Filleted them, fried them, and made dog food with all of the scraps. If I could fish like that every weekend I'd be in heaven. AoM - I do remember working in restaurants. The weekends were ALWAYS slammed. I found that it made the day go faster and was more pleased with the tips accrued those days as opposed to week days. I'm sure though it doesn't help with a bunch of change being implemented and such. Also, I suppose you also don't get the incentive of tips at Wendy's so I feel for you completely!

I'm having tons of fun working on this years Heb as well, (-8 (and I'm sitting right with Pooka, all excited to show off stuff from both of her projects and start telling this years adventures!) I also just finished a fairly big project, the Trait Samples and explanations... What started out as a 'fix stuff that photobucket made look bad' turned into a whole thing. I think it looks pretty good though, (-8 still a few odds and ends to round up... sphinxes.proboards.com/thread/873/sphinx-traits?page=1&scrollTo=62305I've found that the best part about a hectic job Angel is that you are usually to busy to notice the time flying past! ah, that sounds awesome, (-8 There are sooo many ice fishing opportunities around here but for some reason I've just never been. I do a lot of fishing in the summer, spring and fall (and we rely on that delicious fish quite a bit! Smelts in the spring, trout and bass in the summer and salmon in the fall) but just sort of hibernate through the winter... Our dog used to absolutely love the leftover salmon bits too, (-8 One of the main reasons I got our instant pot was for canning salmon, (-8 Personally I think the main trick is to just find the perfect partner and then marry them, (-8 Once you've got that part down, everything else is just little details and extras, (-8 (We also had my awesome mom who was super crafty and made all our clothes and decorations and most of the food!) On a side note, Pooka and I had a pretty bad flu over the last few weeks and while that slowed us down a bit we did manage to catch up on some awesome visual media, TV shows in particular. Now, I'm a few years behind the zeitgeist on this one but one of the best things we've ever watched was Gravity Falls!
I don't know if anyone else has watched this one but it was soooo good and easily jumped into my top 10 favorite of all time programs... I'm desperate for more!

Gravity falls is such a great series! I’ve probably watched it as many times as I’ve watched Parks’n’Rec! X3
We actually caught mostly perch. Little fish, but super tasty. I caught a number of trout, but released them because we were after the Perch.

Somehow I'd never even heard about Gravity Falls... just some fluke of the universe... but we watched the whole thing over about a week and it was awesome! I think a second watch is almost necessary, (-8 I'm a bit obsessed atm... *ponders Sphinx ciphers* idk how to talk about it without spoilers, (-8
Mmm, I love perch! We don't tend to get many of them up here and the are usually super tiny if you do catch the odd one. We used to fish for them with my dad a lot more down south and in Georgian Bay and have fond memories, (-8 Now I could never throw a trout back personally (I mean within legal rules and limits of course, lol) I really like them too! Small trout into the pan and big ones into jars or the smoker, (-8 yum! Why am I even inside when I could be ice fishing right now?

It’s really difficult talking about Gravity Falls without giving away things. It all correlates so well together. I, myself, enjoy the parallels to Rick and Morty. ^^
I think our limit on trout was 4?? And we mostly caught babies. Not really enough meat on them to justify the processing. I would totally be ice fishing this weekend. Expect it’s supposed to be 70 degrees!!?!?! So instead we are cleaning the yard in preparation for summer... Not Spring. Summer. >.<

Isnt it about that time of year to go smelt-ing?

We've still got 5 feet of snow in the yard so I'm not heading out there any time soon, (-8 ah, and smelts usually start running shortly after the Heb starts which is an easy way for me to track them!
We can still hold out hope for a Rick and Morty go to Gravity Falls episode or two! They did sort of have the one tiny 'crossover' .... which would be nice to expand on!
*ooos and ahhhhs at what Pooka just made!*

*whew* I was able to get a bunch done today! I would have completed more if I didn't re-do a big/detailed template from pretty much completion three times since I didn't like how it was turned out. (I really like the final result. ^_^) But, yay, a bunch of stuff completed! Could use those pesky little portals to your advantage and do a mini sidetrack adventure though! I'm not sure because it really pulls away from this year's theme. But I hope that I can fit it in since I've done a bunch of work on this project. Im DIY-ing as much as I can for the wedding and I feel like my head is going to rocket off my body. How did you guys do it? o.o We were only 22 when we got married, had no money, and tried to pull something small together with as little cost as possible. Like hubby said, I had a ton of help from my mother-in-law, she really pulled things together. She was that sort of person who could take charge of a situation and steamroll it forward.
