I wouldn't say it is weird at all to want to do that - I think it is pretty heartwarming that people do that during busy times like the holidays when they are running themselves so ragged and just that little pick me up can mean so much. The only thing is with covid being what it is, I wouldn't be shocked if people wouldn't feel comfortable taking those kinds of things even if the gesture is appreciated. You could definitely still try it, but just know they might not be picked up?

Wolfrysk read my mind on that question as well, (-8 If I had any extra notes to add, I'd think its better to be know for doing nice weird things than weird weird things. I'd totally remember the person that left a thoughtful bonus tip of some chips with a smile, even if I didn't take some.
...and I also had the stupid thought that this might be the only period in history where service providers would actually appreciate a roll of bathroom tissue as a tip, (-8

I definitely think it's okay to leave them out something nice or even just a note. They've got a hard job right now.

I haven't had to wear a mask yet myself, but do you know how tempted I am to purchase a cheap plague doctor's mask and wear it to/during/from work? Really freak people out XD In all seriousness though, I am going to grab a bandana from my drawer tomorrow morning and start wearing that on my walks to/from work.

*listens to news and groans* Oh freaking lovely. Now here in Pennsylvania, employees of essential businesses will have to wear masks. Wonderful. Means I now have to make sure I have masks everyday I go to work.

Whats the update for everyone?
Hoping people stay safe <3
Mom and I were just talking about how (pleasantly) surprised we were with how our province's premier was handling things. Hopefully we all pull through.

Nothing to much to update here MA... I haven't left the house for 2 and a half weeks now and haven't seen another live person (except for three medicine deliveries which were all done at a distance with a wave.) since I did my one and only grocery shopping trip since this whole thing started. We're actually pretty well (and well supplied) all things considered! My only other real change is my increasing frustration with ignorant people on the topic... like there was a popular outdoor personality I liked to watch on youtube. He was always a bit annoying, but did enough interesting things I kept watching... until he went on a crazy, near conspiracy theory level rant about what's going on... and kept leaving the house with his kids to go fishing at a super busy creek with tons of people, just because they could. The guy's wealthy and has a full pantry and can order anything he likes, but risking peoples lives just to prove you can its idiocy. uhm, unsubscribed. On the same topic, some Toronto activist is trying to cancel the fishing season... mostly because people down south don't seem to have space and still stand shoulder to shoulder... and because of people like I mentioned above taking unnecessary risks with other peoples lives. also a bunch of my favorite (and easy access) fishing spots are currently closed and off limits. (boat launches, recreational areas, parks...) All of these things are gonna make it a rough year for us, I count on caught fish as a part of our diet, especially now that food is more expensive and harder to pick up. Nothing much to do, but it is a pretty big concern for me. Ooo, and if you remember, last time I went shopping there was a 'knife incident' one town over? A few days we had our own... www.elliotlaketoday.com/opp-beat/elliot-lake-man-accused-of-brandishing-knife-at-grocery-store-2254833I'm glad I don't have to go out for anything... the world feels a bit crazy. ...and I don't really like to end on to down of a note, again, we're all good here. Safe and sound, (-8 just musing about my various concerns. I do hope everyone else is safe and well, especially those of you who still have to go out for work! I know a few of you out there do and I get happy every time I see your names highlighted on the 'who's been on' section!

I heard about that MA, that totally bites!
And it has begun, we are now required to wear masks whenever we leave our houses and because I work at an essential business...I have to wear a mask. So from 10:20am est to 4:50pm...I'm stuck in a mask everyday I work. All I can say is...I will be glad when this is over *promptly uses paper towel to wipe her nose, sniff and snork because she hasn't been able to all day, promptly washes hands*

ah, like I mentioned above Angel, my thoughts are totally going out to you and the others around here who are forced to still go to work during this pandemic. I can barely imagine what that would be like.
