Waiting is horrible, especially when it's caused by something like red tape or miscommunications between others. Hopefully, you will hear something on Monday. Stress relief distractions are definitely good for staving off anxiety and panic attacks, for sure.

Big hugs, Pooka! <3 Waiting is the worst, and I'm so sorry that you've been put in suspense even longer. Especially after the first doctors made such a fuss about moving fast, ugh. That kind of pressure doesn't help anxiety at all.  Been thinking of you this week, I hope you get the answers you need and surgery officially scheduled on Monday! <3<3<3 |

Finally I received a phone call! I'm going in to see the specialist for a consultation on August 4th (which, BTW, is Jean's birthday.). Hopefully things will get rolling faster after that point.

Not as serious as what Pooka is going through but I eant to scream right now. I pulled out my left side last night and its not the typical fine after a few hours thing. Its like when I was in that crash and i lost my teenage years. Limited mobility..needed help from hubby to get up.
Im now hoping its 'just' a pulled thing and nothing more serious. It was kind of numb a but which concerns me. I have osteopenia, have broken my wrist so I know what it feels like...and mom broke her back litterally by just bending down.
Im like 80% sure its not that but im second guessing.
Hubby went into work today so im alone with the pups. Can bearly move. And im not even sure I can get basic chores done, like prep recycling for garbage day (it goes out on thursday, trucks come morning on friday).

Geeze, putting your back out hurts. I hope that it's healed up by now MA! Update: I'm having surgery at the end of the month. The blood test showed that it may be cancer, but it's not a perfect test and other things going on (like pain? I think she said that.) can mess up the results. It may have ruptured, it may have just shifted to cause the extreme pain. By the CT scan it seems as if it probably hasn't spread to my lymph nodes yet (good news!). She's going to do the test for cancer while I'm open and asleep, get the results back right away, and know if she has to remove more/dig deeper. So it's a mixed bag of news, but thankfully not as bad as it could have been. ^_^ It will be a 4+ hour drive to get to the city where the surgery is taking place, but thankfully they have an inexpensive lodge by the hospital for patients and family.  |
