*pokes head in* I thought it might be a good time to check in! The new animation and tentacles are so cool Pooka!
Like everyone else already said, it's been a weird year. I am still working in person (at a hospital) for some reason neither me or my manager can figure out, but it makes things feel more normal-ish. Since we aren't going anywhere Mr. Kaats and I adopted a cat, who is truly the tiniest agent of chaos. I'll have to grab some pics to share.

Even more people popping in, whoo! *dances* It's hard for us waiting a week for this event, we have some nifty stuff to give away, but.... it must take place over those few days. >.> Either today or tomorrow I should be making that sweet cheeseball. Also, lately we've been playing Pokemon Sword like crazy again. Mr. Pooka started up one as Mr. Ito, and I started up a new game as Eiko. The only problem is that we still really want both a tyranatar, and a galarian ponyta, but they're not in sword. We'll have to look into trading. Set up Pokemon home though, so we have a bunch of pokemon from 'lets go eevee' and 'pokemon go'.

When does the event actually begin? I definitely don't want to miss it! I have missed Sphinxes so much! Definitely needed to brighten up this crappy year.

These make me happy, (-8 a big part of me wanting this is just running around with the Tokyo backdrops I've described in so many rps the last couple of years, (-8 The trailers to look fun though (and I'm not familiar with it's origins either... totally picking this book up because of it's cover!) They are one of my fav parts! I loved playing my normal/colourless pokemon card decks, mostly built around my zigzagoons and tauros... and was excited to see their evolutions, (-8 ... I'm also very close to completing my Band now... 5 Obstagoons and my Rillaboom, because we need a drummer, (-8 I've got Sphinx plans that should keep us around longer then the Great Sphinx of Giza! (-8 and, hi! (...also, off topic, I've been a bit entranced by this particular picture and history in general... yes that's a group of Japanese men, many in Kimono with their Daisho standing in from the the Sphinx in 1863-4... just part of their embassy trip to France...)

Thanks, Pooka! I'll mark it on my calendar. Oooo, I love that photo! That's so neat! I have been itching for adventure lately! I am thinking of taking my oldest son, Cayden (6 years), to go dig for quartz crystal here in Arkansas. You can go to the mines up around the Ozarks (2-3 hours from my home) and dig for quartz crystals for only $25 a person, and he could go free because he's under 6. You get to dig alllllll day long from like 8am to 5pm, and you can keep everything you find that you can get loaded into your car (you have to carry it somehow, and they provide buckets I think). I thought it would be fun, and it would be almost like an adventure for my son especially. I LOVE crystals. I got a lovely piece of rainbow fluorite recently, and some petrified wood from Arizona. <3

It was so fun to be able to see the places and know exactly where we were and what shops should be there, etc. I picked it up because of the Fire Emblem tie in and the music aspect. I'm a sucker for music themed games. LOL. An Obstagoon band is AWESOME!

I think we'll be seeing more portals and tentacles this Heb... perhaps... and such a weird year... and normalish is a pretty nice place for lots of people right now and I'm happy to hear you're well, (-8 I've already been chatting out how we had to take away our cats 'squirrel privileges'' a few weeks ago for is how safety.... I'll post some short videos in just a bit, (-8 I know Pooka mentioned we're starting the event we've got planned on the 17th, but jeanstarwind has some festive fun planned to start tomorrow and throughout the holiday season, (-8 That sounds like awesome fun! We are about a 12 hour drive from a wonderful mine area with Amethysts and you can do something similar there, going though the area and picking up some really nice pieces that they sell by the pound (at a fairly cheap flat rate even if you find a super nice/valuable piece). I think I've got some pictures around here... I'll have to dig for them! I'm into it for both reasons as well, (-8 I watched so many walking around Tokyo videos for our Anime Rp game that I could be a tour guide for downtown Tokyo even having never been there, (-8 ...and the music aspect also looked like super fun, one of my all time fav games was Final Fantasy X-2 and it sort of game me a similar vibe... I've got the whole band together now, I'll have to take a picture, (-8 Just Obstagoons and my Rillaboom, (-8 Pooka suggested I give them all band nicknames...

ah, and it looks like I didn't take to many pics of the Amethyst place... I mean I took a zillion pics but just mostly closeups and macro shots of crystals for future art projects but nothing of to get a sense of the area. I really like this one though... something about it makes me imagine it being used in the background of some old stop motion Christmas special or 60's movie as a 'crystal mountain' world or something similar, (-8

We only have the Arkansas quartz crystals here, but I hear they are pretty special! I'm hoping we can go sometime soon, but we will probably have to wait until after Christmas. ^^ Amethyst are so beautiful, and very useful for all sorts of purposes.

I've got a nice little pile of amethyst on my desk, (-8 ... and little piles of rocks and shells and bits of things because I pick stuff up everywhere I go like a raven or raccoon collecting sparklies! It doesn't help that we live in a bit of a geographic wonderland up here... like this random road fill from blasted from the bedrock... and we get a lot of this stuff, usually called 'pudding stone' which usually has quartz, sometimes other stuff, pressed into much larger types of stone... We won't be finding to many new rocks anymore this year though, after just telling someone that we haven't really gotten any snow up here yet this year it blizzarded all day yesterday and now we've got about a foot of it with no warm days on the horizion... it's here to stay! If you do get a change to go rock hunting I'd love to see a picture! (-8
