Hey guys!!  I know we've been gone for a bit, but we're coming back with a bunch of things to giveaway for Yule this year. The event should be happening the week of Yule, and will be around 5 days or so of giveaways. Until then I figured that while people are poking their heads in I would start up a Holiday Chatter thread for us to talk about things in general so topics don't need to be holiday themed. ~*~ I seriously, and I mean SERIOUSLY needed that few month break. I've been feeling super duper sphinx creative again and have already finished the templates for the Yule event (I need to colour a few special pre-mades still), and have even been working on templates for the Heb already. Each year I keep hoping to do a short, about 1 week long event in February and I'll be aiming to yet again attempt that this year. I tend to find that with the only one or two month gap I have between Yule and Heb templating/work (I start in Feb/March on Heb work) I don't always have the time or energy for another one squeezed in the middle. But I really, really want to release the new things I have ready. It's been extra hard keeping quiet for years over what my secret project has been about. >.< In between templating I made a separate cert for both Mayolin and Hiro. I want Mayolin around for Sebauduat portals, and in our home RP she's become quite the portal specialist (and is now epic levels, whoo!). As well, her clothing design changed a bit to something a little more mature (since she's not as cutesy and young as she was originally) and I wanted to put that on her sphinx. <3 Soooo, I figured that I would show off my couple day personal project...   If you noticed, I templated the Kezzer tail frill for adult females. Before being asked the dress and tentacles are not templated. I do plan on making tentacle traits in the future though (but they will probably look a bit different). I did template Hiro's hair and face mod though. <3 ~*~ I hope that everybody has been okay, safe and am wondering what you guys have been up to the last few months. |

Looking amazing! I love the tentacle idea. XD I've mostly been studying and unpacking and working on fixing my old place to sell. Glad to see some activity in here! I stop by every few days to weeks depending on when I think of it and it's usually so quiet. o.o
ETA Thats what I get for posting late. Fixed a word. Also forgot to say the portal looks awesome!

Mayolin is lovely! And that animated effect on the portal is really cool looking too! I love how Hiro's tail splits into two tentacles as well, that's brilliant. I'm excited to see more activity around here the next few weeks! We need a Sphinxes 'bat signal' to blast across the internet and bring everybody home. |

Ommmmg! I'm so excited that the Kezzer tail is templated because OMG ;-; I love that tail so much! And Hiro's split tail is way cool, yeah. O:
But aside from that I'm happy to see everyone poking in. I hope everyone's been good and enjoying the holiday season :3

I have to admit that I needed to really imitate a rippley portal animation to figure out how to get that to work. ^^; I'm super duper sphinxy pumped lately. Kinda slow on my sphinx work today and yesterday though, a poor night's sleep tends to do that. What we've been up to the last few months ourselves is tons and tons of RP! We spent months RPing just a build up for a hyped up published game (the Waterdeep Heist) and wound up spending tons more time on just the build up RP then the actual one we were trying to get to! lol We completed it about two weeks ago, just in time to get ready for the Yule event. <3 Mayolin is about to hit level 22, and Eiko is lvl 20 (gestalt, so by house rules she uses a slower xp progression). I've also been drawing a bundle of OC art. I should add more to my smugmug to show you guys, or you could just peek at my deviantart account if you're curious, although I haven't uploaded everything that I've drawn on there. (Only because I've been lazy about uploading pictures lately. XD I'll show Mayolin's more recent pic though showing her new outfit/style. The animation looks really smooth and good, Pooka! ^_^ Question though... Do you think the portal/circle will be available for use without the animation? I think it would look great put under some of my demons as a summoning circle o:

I could make a summoning circle, but not that exact same one because I used sigil brushes with it. It would be easy enough to draw an original one though. ^_^ I have a gigantic 'to do' list for the next Heb, but I'll see if I can work it in.

Thats exciting  I was a bit worried during August, hoping everything was ok ^^' I dont have quite as much time with a little Gizmo to look after (can you believe the floof is almost 6 months old?!) but its always nice to see updates |

Glad to hear you all are doing well, and that the break did you good! It can be for sure a benefit to take things in stride. Exciting that it has sparked such a Sphinxy-creativity. 💕 I am adoring Mayolin’s tail. The dragon frills look so good on the female base. Her little outfit is very suiting too, and the portal is definitely a cool touch. Can’t wait to see what’s in store this Yule! Probably one of my favorite times in the year in general, but I always, always welcome Sphinxy-fun too!! Hope everyone else is going well! Glad to see so many others popping into the forums recently. |

Yup, I'm pretty much ready to go as well, (-8 just some story and technical bits to finish up, prob tomorrow, (-8 I totally need some Yuletide fun!
I really did mean to be around more this summer and fall, but ... 2020... yikes. I really do hope everyone is surviving and thriving during this challenging year!
Next week I've got a whole day of cookie baking planned. We're going to send a big box down south for Pooka's mom for the holidays! ...delving into all of my fav classics, shortbread, molasses crinkles, snickerdoodles, peanut butter pie, oatmeal... and Pooka's new fav, thumbprint cookies (with an assortment of jam, marmalade and apple butter!) That should probably be good, but I might try to make something fancy or new as well... I've seen a few extra fancy ones that look tempting to try. (if anyone has a fav holiday cookie feel free to post, PM or add to the recipe section!).
I'm also exited for our holiday cheese balls, (-8 Somehow in all of our years we'd never made cheese balls until Pooka suggested it for our anniversary back in October. We both made a diff one (Pooka made Pineapple-Bacon and I made jalapeno) and they were so wonderful! ...so we're going to make them again for Yule. Pooka's gonna make a sweet one (with maraschino cherries and coconut) and I was going to make a smoked cheddar one but we both keep craving the jalapeno one so I might make that one again, (-8
Ah, Pooka just did another sweet animation for this coming event that is so fun and fills me with happiness, (-8 I can hardly wait to show it off, along with her other treats! (She's totally on fire in the art department over there!)
..now to take a Pokemon Sword break, (-8 (and my Fire Emblem got here today, yay for black friday!)

I really adore the chocolate crinkles a friend makes, but my all time favorites are molasses/ginger snaps. 😋
Do. Not. Get. Me. Started. On. Cheese. Balls.
Can’t describe my love for cheese, much less in the form of a ball. 😂 (maraschino cherries are hubbies favorite for everything, ice cream, moonshine etc; coconut is also his favorite “flavor”.
Really super excited for Yule. I hope Katterheim is still a main setting?
