Me: ..... Look. Its a plant wall... and I have to use the BIG step stool to REACH THEM. XD Leave mah short legs and arms outta this sir.
Darsin: hahahaha true.
*shakes head*

Your wall looks delightful Toxi, thanks for sharing! Spider plants were another one we always had around as a kid! Everyone would simply break off shoots when they got to thick and pass them around, (-8

You can't see it in my pic, but our window is just a foot away from where our cactus is atm MA... just close enough that it sees the sun. So I bought this one last year, while blooming and it was pretty... though several smaller flower buds eventually dried and didn't quite flower. Once it was done I moved it to my room where all the flowers go between looking pretty, (-8 right in my window sill. Watered a bit once a week and it was happy till a couple weeks ago it started blossoming on it's own so it got to move back into the spotlight area, (-8
I did nothing special at all, just light watering. I think as a plant they are very hard to kill... now the flowers are triggered a bit by the seasonal light and a bit by the water I think. Once it is flowering water matters more... too little water can affect how many blossoms will open and how long they will last. I just wait till it's dry and then add a bit of water at this stage whenever it needs it and it seems to be working out just fine, (-8 (I may have overwatered the first year and ironically that caused the few small buds to dry up and not bloom.)
also I should note, we never get really strong sun in our windows. They are big but we're sort of North facing with lots of mountainous hills and trees around us so on a good day I'd call it partial sun here.
I may have to re-pot this one soon though... just because it's getting so big I think it'll tip the pot it came in soon!

It used to be a bit more full but I forced my husband to move some of his snipping from his rubber plants because honestly; I'm terrified of weight on those shelves. XD
I think I might need to re-tighten them a bit and caulk against the wall to feel more secure. So I try to keep it pretty light weight.
We also have SO MANY 'babies' from these plants. From all those plants I have another at least 3-5 potted propagations. Just waiting til Christmas when I can mass gift. XD

It's soooo pretty! I don't think I've ever seen anything like that before. I'm very envious of people that can grow things. I killed a cactus once as well as any other plant I've ever tried to grow. Why is it called a Christmas cactus? The name seems to indicate that it would bloom in December to me.
The very first part of this is me with plants... XD I forgot to mention, these type of cactuses are very hard to kill! When I was growing up there were a few plants that everyone had around just because they were super easy/forgiving to keep alive. Also, African Violets and spider plants were on the list, (-8 It's also fun to propagate African Violets... like spider plants, lots of our friends and family had some that were all related, (-8 ... you simply break off one of the leaves near the base and stick it in a cup of water. Use a piece of foil or something so it's off the bottom. In a very short time you'll see roots growing and after a bit just gently put it in it's own pot and voila, new violet! (-8

I would love to have plants in my office, but I don't have an outside window or any kind of sunlight.

After last night and this morning, coming in here and seeing plants was a nice break from the worry. <3

Hubby just came home and we had supper and now he's talking about the election. We may be Canadians but you have no idea how much this effects us.
I took a picture of the cactus earlier today but need to upload it.

I would love to have plants in my office, but I don't have an outside window or any kind of sunlight. My suggestion (totally unasked for, lol) would be some African Violets. They'll be fine for at least a month without seeing the sun, so if you had a pair, you could keep one at the office and one at home then switch them everyone once in a while, (-8 We've got a few here and they bloom at different times (seemingly at random) so when all the flowers are done I move them to my hidden window and just water them every week and when they start to flower they get promoted to the living room window or shelf, (-8 ...bonus, they are also usually super cheap, I don't think I've ever seen one over $5, so if it's a failed experiment it only cost the price of a couple cups of coffee but might bring some happiness to the office, (-8 ...bonus number two, if you get them with the same colour flowers and same pot you can no one will know how you keep them alive in the dark and might think you're a wizard.

I check all the plants for pet friendliness these days as well, but we're also lucky in that our kitty doesn't seem to care about plants in any way.

I'm a fairly live and let live kind of person and am happy to let most people do whatever they want as long it makes them happy, whether I agree with it or not... but this... you are right about how it affects us as well being neighbors. If my neighbour was out in his backyard building new baby cages, praising the worst most villainous historical leaders who's very names have become profanity and talking about purging his enemies I feel that I should at least be concerned.

...also I missed a lot of the good fall pictures this year! The weather was... uncooperative. Everything was pretty, but only for few days. Then a frost, then a heavy storm and... all the fall leaves were gone. No time to get out and take some good shots to share, sorry!
also also, next Media Mention.
Frieren: Beyond Journey's End - this is such an excellent anime! It's not exactly unknown, but if your outside of an anime news bubble this is a super great one to check out. It's kind of got everything... and sort of reminds me of a Ghibli movie... just sort of slow and more concerned with the character stories then the other goings on... Kind of like a DnD adventure where you skip most of the dice rolls so you can get back to chatting and explaining whole plots with just a few cute, brief images, again just to get back the people stories. This is a great one!

A bit off topic, but I have to have something to look forward to. Is anyone else planning to see the new War of the Rohirrim movie coming out next month?

I'm totally looking forward to it! (-8 I really tried to get into the show... but just sort of gave up during the second season. Idk what it was really, but some kind of magic was missing for me at least... but I'm super happy to try out any new LotR related stuff with excitement!
There's a bunch of good ones (I hope!) on the near horizon that I'm looking forward to. Nosferatu, Kraven and Wicked are all up there, (-8
