Phew, it's been a long few days for some reason!? I think it prob more has to do with it getting dark at 5:00 than anything else...
...but on a positive note (for me and maybe Sio, (-8) I was checking online to see if I could find a better deal for bulk tins of sardines and I found one which also just happened to be my favoritest kind, (-8 I'll prob post a little thread for the sardine thing to keep track and see if any of the health benefits actually pan out, (-8
...and as another random aside we watched the first Wizards of Baking show... I know there's plenty of cooking competition fans around here but I feel this show would be soooo much more fun without arbitrary time limits and weird restrictions. So many people make such cool stuff but it would have been so much cooler without the limits... I mean even if there was still an element of competition, but... I'm way more interested in seeing a cool magical cake, vs a half done mess cuz someone ran out of time or something didn't work out. Probably just me?

also also, I think I'm down to two and Pooka's down to one remaining custom, so I'll be closing up the shops and such tomorrow! ...then just a brief break while we get set up for our Yule event, (-8 ...and I cannot express how excited I am for what Pooka's made!

We've been having lovely cold weather and I'm enjoying needing to wear my slippers around the house all day. (And PJs because I have the benefit of working from home.) But I do envy the snow. ^^

It's been cold for us here, relatively speaking, of course, but I know better than to look for any kind of accumulating snow until mid-January. We might get some flakes or a dusting before then but nothing decent.

Or snow has not stopped! Giant fluffy holiday snow all day so far... the temp is just hovering at the snow temp though, just a degree or two diff and it'll all stay or it'll turn to rain. It's super pretty out atm!
*dresses up something fun* a few days ago when Pooka was working on her Yule project, I worked on my own something I thought was pretty fun... and she liked the idea and backed it up by making me some new traits to go with it, (-8 I'm having to much fun working on them now! (and she's deep into her last custom atm, before getting back to her Yule Project, which I also love so much it's hard to stay focused on one thing!)
..and super off topic, the season finale of From was great and I can't wait for more!
Ooo, I also stumbled upon a show called A Man on the Inside, which I super recommend. It's a drama/comedy with loveable characters and all the feels.
also also, Just Shoot Me has been referenced a few times in recent threads so I've been watching it in the background to catch up, (-8 ...and as an interesting turn, one of the main characters is also now a main character in the new Night Court season... there's something fun about watching the same actor simultaneously but nearly 30 years apart! (also, the first season of the new Night Court was a bit rocky, but it found it's groove in the second season!)
Nearly all of my current fav shows have come to an end... is there anything else good on the horizon? I'm looking forward to Skeleton Crew in couple weeks but I can't think of anything else new.

I’m not really up to date on various shows though I do fondly remember the original Night Court. I am looking forward to the next season of Mysteries of Aaravos.
I also just devoured 432 pages in less than 24 hours. Thank goodness I’m not too prone to book hangovers.

I also loved the original Night Court... and it's a very hard act to follow. The new show is actually a continuation, not a reboot which I do like. Like I mentioned above though, I don't think the first season was all that good... watchable, so I stuck with it... but I did actually start to really like the second season and found it pretty good, (-8 The third season just started.
(I also forgot to mention, you can watch Just Shoot Me for free here in Canada on the CTV streaming service, which I am not paid by, but I do like to recommend good free stuff!)
I also do like the Dragon Prince and Pooka super loves it, (-8 That's a good one to look forward to!
....and oh that feeling of finishing a good book or series... Like you can't get enough of it and just fly through it but then realize it's over and there's no more?

Yep! The inevitable book hangover. XD Luckily, I’ve got two others I’m currently reading for distraction.

*gets back in from snowy mini trip outside* Happy Thanksgiving to you'all down south, (-8 Do you celebrate and have a big dinner today or is it a weekend thing? (or is it a super long weekend?)
We're going to have leftover meatloaf (yum!) and settle in for a possible blizzard over the next couple of days...

Happy Thanksgiving to all of our American friends. <3
ETA: It's a little early, but with all of the snow here I couldn't resist but to change my avatar already. ^_^

We get a long weekend, so today and tomorrow off. I think most places that aren't retail related probably do that. We celebrate today. It's just Rasa and me this year, so we had a small Thanksgiving meal together, which was a turkey breast roast, mashed potatoes, corn, gravy, stuffing, and rolls. Tomorrow we were thinking of making some turkey soup with the leftovers, but we're not sure if we'll have enough left over. If not... it will make excellent turkey sandwiches.

Ah, I see, thanks! ...and I love Turkey, (-8 I asked Pooka if she wanted one (I've got two in the freezer) but we did just have one for our Thanksgiving and she's still a bit turkeyed out... For some reason my news feeds this year seem to be filled with people complaining about turkey calling it dry and bland etc... it just makes me feel sorry for these people who must not know how to cook one! (-8 mmmm, now I'm dreaming of turkey sandwiches, (-8 cold ones with some cranberry sauce, hot ones covered in gravy, yum!
...but instead of turkey I got a pair of big chickens on sale (see totally different!) that I'll butcher up for tomorrow and the next few days... BBQ roasted legs, thighs and wings in the oven and then breasts slow cooked in the pan with my fav tomato sauce, and finally everything left + bones for soup, (-8 yum!
We also got to see most of the Macys day Parade today... pretty damp looking but still fun. Last year there was a new Monkey D Luffy one but it sort of malfunctioned/deflated which was a bit sad (but perhaps in character, (-8), though this year it was all perfect!

We couldn't pick up the channel that was airing the parade, either of them. We live right at the edge of two different broadcast areas, so depending on which way the wind wants to blow that day, we might get certain channels. We might not. Yesterday was a might not. I'm hoping I can find clips of it online today. Also, sad that I missed the dog show that usually follows it.
