Before you all stands the matronly Khamerernebty. Some of the attending sphinxes and netjers might recognize her from their own homes in the past and to others she is a new face. One of the many Priestesses of the area. Her personal expertise lies in families and protecting mothers and their young. Her face, though normally smiling, seems a little frustrated today as she herds with sweeping motions a small gaggle of cubs and one nearing the cusp of adulthood into the open space. " Come along. Come along. We don't have time to delay again. You lot took your sweet time eating the candies and pastries this morning from that vendor." Her eyes soften a little as she pats the head of one of the cubs, " Not that I mind you enjoying your festival time as much as possible. Just that you all know today is busy! I mean, today is the day you meet your new parents!" There is a small rallying cheer from three of the youngest and lots of babbling going on besides. But sure enough she manages to direct her charges up onto the small stage set middle of the park and gets them lined up before turning to address the crowd waiting here. " Oh..well. Hello everyone! Good morning to you all and welcome! In case you do not know of me, I am Khamerernebty." Her hand presses lightly against her chest and the symbol decorating her golden collar. " Priestess of Taweret. And these are my current charges!" She waves her arm over the heads of the six charges and they all chorus out variants on 'hello and good morning'. While the younger cubs look intently interested in the various faces before them the older male in the back rolls his eyes slightly and acts tough. Khamerer notices and lightly pats his shoulder affectionately. He glances up to his and the stoicism he likes to present drops ever so slightly, softening for her. " Ah well. I won't take more of your time for these loves. But suffice it to say these are my little ones from the orphanage. I felt it was high time they came out and enjoyed the festival but more importantly; it is high time they had families of their own to grow up with. To love and be loved by. Mothers and fathers to worry for them and see them succeed. SO.. I bring it to you all. Each of my babies is precious to me and they're all unique. So, take some time and get to know them and then come and see me!" She waves her arms motions for you all to come closer. " Don't crowd them but feel free to learn about them!"
So how this will work. In the next post I will have the ones you will playing for! Each will have a code name and some instructions. You can try for as many as you wish! But you will only be able to win one. So have fun with it and lets see what happens. Heh

Tootles
Tootles here is the most curious of the bunch! She's the youngest and often gets left behind in the adventures of the older crew. But that doesn't stop her being curious and wanting to explore herself! What does stop her is not knowing where she wants to first! Maybe you can help her with this. If you'd like to bring her into your family, post a sphinx who wants to adopt her and they must tell her a story of a singular grand adventure they would like to take her on! Just one mind you, since Tootles here knows more follow after the first step. Use her code name as a Bolded title. Feel free to use an image to set the stage but describe it to her! Tootles will follow them home if they can weave the best adventure plot.
Nibs
Nibs here is one of the most courageous of the crew. He likes to puff up and be the first to follow Peter but his legs are still a bit short to always keep up. If your sphinx wants to bring him into their family they will need to bring him the following 'important' items. This is a scavenger hunt that rolls into a randomized list. As speed is not the point for these little ones. To enter use his code name as the bolded title and then the images of the items you bring him! Slightly
Slightly came to be a part of Peter's crew (and Khamerer's charges) under the saddest circumstances. He was lost during a festival some years back; separated from his mother as a tiny cub and wrapped in a bag with the stitched saying 'Slightly Soiled'. Khamerer believes his birth mother was a washer sphinx who was taken off by some portal or magic. But she's never had the heart to tell him that. Peter and crew don't know much about their parents but Slightly here would like to know more. He doesn't know if he will ever find his birth mother again but maybe your sphinx knew of her? Or had heard of her and what had happened to cause her to lose her son? Maybe. If your sphinx would like to bring Slightly into their household they'll need to come up with bonafided information about his mother. Tell him how you knew her and why she might have lost him? Think of this as a mini-bed time story for him. Tell him a tale that will keep the good memories and start a path to making new ones with your sphinx. Post his codeword as the bolded title to enter for him. Slightly will pick the one he 'feels' best mirrors the very limited memories he has of her.
Peter
Peter has big dreams. The biggest of which is he doesn't ever want to grow up. He wants to stay with Khamerernebty forever and to continue to build his 'crew' from the orphans in his home. But Khamerer knows this is not the best way for the young male to live. And she wants nothing but the best for him always. To lure Peter from the safety that Khamerer and the orphanage gives him you have to do but one thing. The sphinx who would be his adoptive parent needs to share with him their greatest fear. Just the one. Peter needs to know that being afraid of things is normal and he will go home with the sphinx he feels is both the most honest with him and truly needs help overcoming their greatest fear.
The Twins
Oh dear. It seems the twins have run off again! WELL.. these two are typically inseparable but I imagine they've gotten a little lost in the crowds around. They don't like being cornered. But if you sphinx would like to bring one of them into their home and family they can try by luring them out with food. YES.. these two love treats of all kinds. One of them loves sweets. The other loves savory. The trick here, you won't know which you've lured until they show up on your doorstep. To enter post the image of a sweet or a savory treat and their code word in bold. Everyone who enters will be put into a list for their chosen twin and it will be randomized. ALSO, for these two you may only try for one of them.

Peter "My greatest fear?" She smiled sadly and a thoughtful looks crossed her face. "I'd say...my greatest fear is...to never be loved or needed..." she nods slowly and closes her eyes. "Yes, the idea of it brings fear to my heart. To never be needed and loved by another inidividual....Lonliness is by far my greatest fear."

Tootles How about we go on a grand adventure to a mystical castle by the sea to which inside, so I've heard, lays the plushest beds, grandest of foods and if one thinks of something, it magically appears!  Yes little one, I'll take you on this grand adventure to this castle. Now we can't simply sail up to this castle, oh no. To get to it, one must first cross the island and get passed the tests that are there. None of them are too dangerous, but there are riddles and bridges and there are guards. I've been there once before, but I want to share it with someone I can truly enjoy it with, a youngster who shares in my enthusiasm for fun things. Sure I have my crew, but having a little one would make it all the more fun. Now you see, once getting passed all the riddles and bridges and guards, there's a wondrous beach with the most beautiful of sands, sands that even on the hottest of days stay cool to the touch so one never burns their paws. The shade is always comfortable and there's always fruit available to enjoy. Ripe and juicy! Then, there in the distance is the castle. You see a ship there, the only ship allowed close to the castle. Fly? Oh no, even with wings I can't fly to it. The castle is enchanted. To get to it, one must call the ship to the shore. How? The laughter of someone young at heart. Yes I know I'm an adult, but I'm still young at heart. Once the ship is there at the shore, one can climb aboard to see a crew of dragon like beings. We have to be nice to them of course. They'll sail us to the castle, but to get up to it, we must sing and a jolly tune to it. A set of stairs will then descend to the ship and we'll be allowed access to the castle and all it's goodies inside.

Peter Abasi comes in seeing the kid who seems to be sciard "Kid..trust me..my biggest fear.." he looks around making sure she is not around then looks pack to the kid "I the woman im married to..." he looks around again fear on his face.."She is mad i tell you..." he then hides behind the kid "Don't let her fine me please.." he then see Charles the Chicken and eyes go wide "AND THAT THING!!!" he point to Charles who clucks slowly at him.

Tootles "Leeet me tell you of an adventure we sssshall take together young one. We ssshall venture forth to explore new landssss. filled with fabled beasssstssss. Creaturesss long thought lost to this world. We will see rulers and leaders, Preissstsss and Sssseerssss, Hoperssss, dreamersssss, ssssingersss, and maybe Sssswingerssss. We Sssshal learn of their ways and play through our Daysss. We sssshall Try new treatssss and accomplish great featssss. We will play till the dusk of night till ssstars are in sssight. Then ssshall we dream of or fun and wake with the dawnsssss morning ssssun. And perhaps if we wish DO it all again.

The twins..Well, I had a nice turkey dinner prepared, but the Cannith twins insisted I put out some berry cupcakes instead &shakes head* Yes girls, there are berries inside. No girls, we cant turn it into a cookie. Girls? Get back here Kalea!

Peter Gilbert looks at the boy and shrugs. He was here to try and do something good. Maybe having someone share his bachelor pad would help. ANd maybe he could learn something from this boy? Then the boy asked the one thing he was afraid of. "What am I afraid of? Well, almost everything. Bees, Bugs, Scorpions, spiders, snakes, things with teeth, monsters, girls, things with big teeth, Things with sharp teeth, dead things, dying, flying, swimming, volunteering, aliens, you know, almost everything. I know I am not the best example of facing fears. but I am trying to face mine. I mean I have two pets. Both scary. But you know both mine." He shrugs again.
