Yep, Mr. Pooka just got a ticket back about it saying that expired accounts need a full membership to be used at all.
So basically PI just gave a big 'we couldn't care less' to people who paid a heap load of money, and are standing here holding out fistfuls of money for them.

I can't seem to post in forums, PM or change my passwords with my sub accounts. Is this working as intended with the new PI or is this something that is currently being worked on. I have dozens of players asking and no one is getting a response.

Yes, this is what is intended. Expired accounts are just that, expired. In order to use the site, you must pay for your account.

It's also a huge 'screw you' to people who wanted to at least change their sub account's passwords so somebody can't use it to hack into their main accounts.

And to people trying to sell their expired subs to people who want to pay for them. Or unsub expired accounts so they're not associated with you anymore. Basically, bad for everyone.

Terrible, terrible terrible business choices. I'll stand by it if that is their choice (never giving them any money again) but this is just making me shake my head with shock of what a bad, bad choice this is. I'm more and more convinced that PI is shooting themselves in the foot with many of their changes. The gen and pony make-overs... awesome. But why didn't they leave the forums alone, or put strange, new rules in for sub-accounts? It's just boggling me.

somehow at least I find this answer somewhat de-stressing. Instead of fighting to be on a site I don't like I can now focus on playing on sites that I really love!

Well, that's a real shame. So expired accounts are completely useless now: no trading, selling, posting, changing passwords, etc etc. At least it's all done with now >.<

I'll preface this by saying I only have three subs, and they are all paid for. However, I've often considered going the route of making subs just for Renenet or now my beloved Akira or some of my newer characters. I find this all really disheartening. We don't have a ton of money, and it makes me mad for those of you who have paid huge amounts for your RP accounts and now they are useless. I wish they would've given us more warning about these serious changes they made. I also agree that the timing really sucks. Why would you massively change your website right before you go get married and go on your honeymoon? It's not practical.

Like Pooka mentioned they expired subs are also a huge security risk that we will all eventually forget about... you can never change your password and any of them can be hacked to access your main account, wreck your stuff and get your personal info...

Well at this point I"m going to clear out ALL my sub accounts that have a week left on them from Christmas time -- and unsub. There go ALL my beautiful character accounts and a heaping pile of cash they got from me.
And once I see if any adoptables remain on PI -- I'll probably just shut down my main account.
So long old loved PI! New PI -- Bite me. -.-

I was going to post in that thread with a solution I came up with (which to me was actually an excellent one >.>)
Then I realized that I don't really care because I don't like PI. That and with that MOD reply to your ticket, it seems it wouldn't matter one flying... flapjack... if a decent solution was proposed.
And I highly suggest we seek life elsewhere!

Yeah, what happened to the three extra months they gave us? It doesn't look like it's applied to my sub accounts... I could probably use whatever time I have now to start clearing out my accounts, etc. *kicks PI in the shins* |
