I just came over to see where you guys might be heading if you do leave PI, and I just wanted to make sure you guys knew that FR has a strict one account per person policy, that I'm pretty sure is at least decently well enforced, so it might not be the best PI alternative for you based on the main reason behind your leaving. Although it's definitely a fun site so maybe you should all just join anyway  Or it could still work fine for you anyway. I just wanted to give a heads up to hopefully avoid further potential drama  Also I could have sworn I'd had an account on this forum, but apparently not o.O Even though it's been a while since I've done Sphinx things. Also I feel that in the interest of full disclosure, I have to say that I'm technically on the side of those saying it's not unreasonable for expired accounts to not be able to post/message, but I do think it really sucks that multiple adoptables are now in a bit of a bind/have issues as a result. It's always been a fun addition for there to be RP accounts for things, plus more inboxes to sort mail for large adoptables is also super useful. I think the way it was handled is the biggest issue. And that thread on PI is kind of heinous, overall. I'm not super impressed with the way most people in the thread are behaving, on both sides (even people I like! Which is, once again, people from both sides) This got longer than I meant it too; all I really wanted to do was make sure you had information on whether or not FR would be a good substitute for you guys. I know. ^_^ But if FR allowed unlimited sub accounts, never put up a rule against it, made those extra accounts so that you could just post... then one day just took them away, well then I would be riled up. It's not the wanting sub-accounts but more that it was something offered, that we paid for, and now it's taken away with no explanation. Ok, that's good! I just didn't want you guys to go through a bunch of trouble to get things going on FR, and then suddenly find out you can't run it how you want to really because of the account thing. The adoptables community on FR is nowhere near what it's become on PI, so it would be interesting to see if bringing the Sphinxes in changes that! |

I went ahead and pinged on FR, just a general chatter thing, obviously nothing official -cough-
I definitely wouldn't say 'leave PI' unless we were firmly established somewhere else. Right now that isn't the case.
PI is just stupid and it sucks having to deal with stupid -cough-

Ok, that's good! The adoptables community on FR is nowhere near what it's become on PI, so it would be interesting to see if bringing the Sphinxes in changes that! I'm hoping that we can drop in with a big 'BOOM, here's an adoptable with 7 years of work on it! And now we're doing GIVEAWAYS!!'. ^_^ I've noticed that there are, so far, very few 'hand done virtual pet' like adoptables on FR and it's mostly 'pay me and I'll make a pixel of your dragon'. I do like the pixels, they're cute, but closer to mini art commisions then the borderline virtual pet some other adoptables are. So I'm really, reeeeeealy hoping it just wows people as something different, and in a place with very few adoptable/art giveaways our huge free to paid ratio will get people at least checking us out. ^_^ |

I shall follow Sphinxes anywhere -- doesn't mean I like PI or will stay there forever. My point is simply this -- I joined because it intrigued me -- grew bored by 6 months and then found Sphinxes.
I stayed for Sphinxes.

I stayed for adoptables in general, there were a lot that aren't around now and some that still are. XD But I also slowly met a lot of amazing people, and I stay for them as well! I will be happy to follow Sphinxes on other sites as well because, well, I adore them and would hate to lose track of them forever because I love mine so, so much, but I can't see myself leaving PI as long as some of the adoptable community remains, like Canid followers and such, and Solstice even though it's newer (but so much looove). I think PI screwed itself over a lot here; I don't think they quite realize that a lot of the users are there for the community and adoptables, not the ponies? I never do anything with mine, they just sit and look pretty. :/

Oh I love the other adoptable communities I've joined over the years. But really.. Nocturnes (Yes you lady..  ) and Sphinxes made me stay when I first would have left PI. Without you.. I wouldn't be around for all this lovely fun. ^^ And yes, I really do believe PI screwed up with this. And they will be even worse if they don't at least take into consideration SOME of the things we're really mad about. |

The only reason I still keep ponies is for pony mimics from various adopties. I sincerely doubt I'll be leaving PI over this, not the least because Aelia's not able to split from PI currently, but I'm really only there for Sphinxes, Aelia, and Murrah these days. At best, they've ensured that I never ever buy a sub account. At worst, if they manage to drive off the few adopties I care about...? Well, we'll see what happens.
If it hadn't been for adopties, I would have quit PI 6mo after I joined. There's just not that much going for it, alone. But I found Pykiin, and then Sphinxes, and others, and that kept me invested in the site enough to keep paying. If they want to drive adoptable owners away, I think they'll be surprised by how many of their customers follow.

I'm already addicted to them, they're so pretty and the RP set up on the forums is just amazingly detailed and rich.  You guys are so sweet. ^_^ I still to agree with Mr. Pooka that if we tried on our own it would fizzle and die, but both FR and DA seem like great expansion places with interesting things to keep people interested in between adoptable giveaways. I know I've tried to follow adoptables to other sites (what was the name of the one that the Kennel and Skyreels and such went to?) but they eventually fizzled due to not having another main, base, virtual pet site that they were a part of.  Which is sad because I was so in support of them trying it, but had a bad feeling about it. |

Like everyone else has stated I was bored with PI after about 6months, but adoptables were what kept me around. First Pykiin, and then slowly after they left Sphinxes. |

Just in case I don't say this enough, We LOVE you guys too!
Pooka and I are not Sphinxes. The whole Sphinx team is not Sphinxes. Together we are all Sphinxes!
In some way shape or form we will always be connected and in case it matters I will work until the ends of time to maintain this site (or another if something changes, like we all get internet ports directly into our brains in 2020 for example!) Even if every other place we go to disapears know you can find us here at the very least every April 15th celebrating a Heb~Bastet. You can mark that one on your calendar for every year it goes up to!
Pooka and I work to make sure that everything is taken care of and in place. We even have a Sphinx will in place to pass ownership in the case of the worst. So even is something happened to us Sphinxes will move through a line of people who have given to this community and that we trust will give it the love Sphinxes deserves, (-8
I cannot express in words how much everyone here means to us and to making Sphinxes the wonderful community that it is, (-8

I stay solely for Sphinxes honestly (though Solstice intrigues me, it wouldn't be enough to keep me around on its own at this point in time)
It was Glassgryphs and Sphinxes that I started with and kept with. I was so very sad with gryphs went bye bye
