Sometime today I will start to drop some mixed up song lyrics in the shoutbox. Once someone has figured out the song I'm quoting (out of order) they can post the name of the song in the Heb~Bastet Thread. I will post an image of Hebony in the thread once I've seen the name of the song posted to show that we are getting ready for part two of the game!
Any time after the image of Hebony is posted part two of the game starts. Five different people must all post an image of an arrow in the Heb Thread. These posts must be uninterrupted, ie. all five posts must be consecutively posted. Any other post, on purpose or by accident restarts the count including accidental double posts by the same person. (more posts beyond 5 is fine... the requirement is just 5 consecutive posts of arrows by 5 different people.)
Once that has been accomplished the first person who posts an image of any Sphinx they own (for RP purpose, whoever is helping out is cool of course) along with a picture of some silvery coins or bars will win the first prize below! A Wish for Wings

Basically, I'll add the steampunk wings trait onto the two winning sphinxes. This will be a drawing draw, with optional extras.
First, along with the title 'AWishforWings' (in bold and as one word) post a picture of the sphinx who you want to gain the wings. This can be a regular posed Egyptian (including crio/hieroco/etc) or Greek sphinx They may have wings already, but existing wings will be removed for the new ones. If they already had wings it will be noted in their file for future breeding purposes.
Second, post a drawing that you have done for this contest of your sphinx in a way that conveys why they need these wings. The drawing must be signed with your username and 'Sphinxes Steam 2020'.
You may also post up to a paragraph of description with your drawing to elaborate.
One winner will be chosen from the entry that appeals to me the most (Is it pity that moves me? Or humour? Maybe impressive skill? I have no clue what will appeal to me.)
The rest will be entered into a random draw for the second set of wings.
You can post this at any time before midnight Friday April 24th (EST). (ie. the contest ends once it ticks over to Saturday)
You may edit your entries until the time runs out.

Pin the Cog

How to play:
Below, you will find a background image as well as the image of the cog you will be using. This game functions like a "pin the tail on the donkey" game where you will place the cog on the canvas wherever you think the cog is "supposed" to be! I've provided both transparent and white background cogs so hopefully this will be compatible with all art programs down to MS Paint.
When all the entires are done, I will bring all of them into an art program and see who is the winner! The winner will be the closest person to the placed cog. I will be measuring this contest by how close the RED CENTER DOT on the cog is to the green center dot I have on the cog in my solution image and will do this down to the pixel if need be.
Directions:
- Take the canvas image and open it up in any art program of your choosing. Then, take the cog image and do the same thing. Take the cog from its window and transfer it to the window of the blank white canvas (drag/drop, copy/paste, witchcraft - all methods are acceptable as long as you don't resize the cog) and then move the cog around to wherever you think the correct position is. You must also put your USERNAME on this image somewhere preferably not right next to your cog.
- When you post, please title it "I'll give it the cogllege try!" in bold!
- If you want to include a sphinx and RP discription for some flavor, then by all means, but it isn't required!
(A note: many machines require you to "save" a png image to have the background remain transparent or it comes up as black, so if you have trouble with the transparent cog not being transparent, try that.)

- DO NOT, for any reason, resize either the cog or the canvas. Resizing either of these will disqualify you from the game because it will make it impossible for me to judge fairly.
- The ENTIRE cog will be on the canvas. This means you don't need to worry that parts of it will be out of the frame. You won't be disqualified if you enter with the cog off the canvas, but I'm letting you know now it isn't a winner.

Simply post images of the categories below and she will choose one Shark and one Cetacean at random tomorrow and create two new Atlanteans for our lucky winners! You can only enter this contest once. Amaria is going to train the brave sphinxes how to fight against a kraken, and award those with the most promise some magical tridents or nets.
Every now and again I will post a picture of a 'training squid' (ie. a squid plushie) along with a d20 roll. For one minute each person may post a sphinx with some sort of combat phrase of trying to net or pierce at it with a trident along with a d20 roll. The roll closest to mine will win a net skirt (which can be put on the sphinx, or put into your inventory). The one who has the highest roll will win a trident (which can be attached or put into your inventory).
If you have both the closest roll and the highest you will win both, but if you already have one item you need to gift the one that you already have to somebody who doesn't have it. (ie. you already have a net, then you win both a net and trident, you must then gift the net to somebody who still needs one.)
A note that the net skirts only fit the female template. (ETA) But if a male wishes, they could have the net from the hunter class put on them instead.
You may only win one net and one trident from this game, this includes from being gifted.

A tale of a fateful trip

If one (or more) of your Sphinxes had their own flying ship where would you wander? What sort of lands would you like to explore or see or visit or adventure in? This contest is one part roleplaying and one part player curiosity. Give a brief (well, minimum brief, longer is fine) description along with several pictures (at least three please, more is fine) of a place or culture or people or land you would love to see your character visit! Perhaps a real world destination, like ancient Japan (with Samurai, Geisha and Yamabushi), or futuristic Australia (with Mutant Kangaroos and your own custom tank!) or Hawaii (with Menahune and surfing and a dozen different types of lei along with a Hula Dancer class) or a cyberpunk city (like from Neuromancer or the Matrix) or Venus (perhaps a colony of Sphinx Moon Women have an amazon colony there) or a could city (filled with dragons or angels or gas miners) or a published setting you love (Forgotten Realms, Pern, Federation Space...) or a setting of your own design (Where all the vampires are sexy and looking for the perfect date, or a complex fantasy setting with layers of culture and races, a place populated by your fave fantasy races...) or a whole philosophical/metaphysical dimension (where everyone is already dead or demons or naturists? careful with the pics on that one, remember we're all cats here!) or just a small jaunt down the Egyptian coast to find the lands of Punt or other nation south of Khemet... I think the potential list is endless.
